I was wondering whether this was part 2 for a moment then, the first 10 minutes had me confused. Good so far

Clara has an iPhone! Looks like a 4 or 4s.

So who else Googled 'bootstrap paradox'?

I've got very little to say because I don't even remember most of it. It was just a bit bland and forgettable. Not terrible, but just... Forgettable. The best thing about it was the Fisher King and he only got like two minutes of proper screen time...

I guess the 2 parter was meant as a commentary on DW logic and Time Travel logic in general (The Paradox of the Doctor saving the day because he's left clues for himself to be able to save the day. But how did he see the clues the first time around, to be able to leave them in the first place). Still would have been a more memorable two-parter if the story had actually been more memorable.

The story was definetely too bland and forgetable. No doubt about that

I like the Doctor being smart and figuring out the problems on his own.

Kind of "meh" for me

This definetly wasn't a bad episode, but the whole thing felt kind of rushed? After last week's episode, I was really hoping they'd stick with the claustrophobic thing, but the time travel stuff was fine, I guess. The whole thing left me kind of cold, although I liked the supporting cast a lot.

I wrote a full review here: https://thethreepennyguignol.wordpre...uential-shrug/

I'm surprised no one else has brought up the idea that maybe an answer to the bootstrap paradox will actually come. Maybe we will see the doctor or Clara from another time plant the info., this reminds me of when 11 went and talked to Amy when she had to keep her eyes closed from the flesh and stone episode and he told her to remember what he said, I think it was in big bang when he was going back in his time line. I just think its possible this may be a set up for an arc.

watched it from the start again, I do like the ending and as soon as I saw the alien blown away by the water I knew what was coming, the whole time paradox is hard to get your head around, maybe will need to watch it again.
