Tftnt I'm wary about the episode because it's from Gatiss he hasn't got the best track record both on doctor who and sherlock
Is that Ferdinand Kingsley (the baker in Victoria) in the traileR? __________________

I know what you mean. Most of the Gatiss eps on this show, I didn't like/payoffs are ho-hum. I hope he surprises me with this one.
Oh yes, you are right! I forgot he was on Victoria. __________________

Okay so the episode wasn't that bad but it wasn't that great either. It was okay.
The monster in this ep was a bit scary. Friday was really nice and helpful too. I failed to catch why he was named that way. They are in the planet Mars in the 18th century and is taken over by the British army. The Ice Warriors are pretty scary when they're a lot, especially the Martian Queen Iraxxa who wakes up. She has been sleeping for over 5,000 years and now wants to make up for lost time aka kill people. In the end, everything is resolved by choosing if the humans and the monsters live together or die together. Bill wasn't in this episode that much, nor was Nardole. He was busy getting Missy out of the vault because the Tardis acted up and he needs her help to stir it. She's actually inside the Tardis when the Doctor & Bill see her later on but maybe the Doctor takes her back to the vault in the next ep? I guess I didn't expect to be wowed by this episode so I wasn't disappointed that much? __________________

I really enjoyed this episode and liked having the Ice Warriors making an appearance.
Lindsay, I think he was named after a character in Robinson Crusoe. I do remember the Doctor telling Missy she had to go into the Vault and she agreed. It's good to hear that you weren't disappointed. __________________

Thanks Sarah. I know they mentioned it but I missed it again.
Yeah it wasn't that bad. Overall I liked it and it wasn't as disappointing as the previous ep before this. I'm already excited for The Master. Not counting the CS, we're already down to the last 3 episodes. __________________

I liked the episode it was certainly an improvement from the one before and the last Gatiss' one. It's not gonna remind as one of the unforgettable episodes but it was alright __________________

It's best to keep expectations low when it's written by Mark. I mean, he's a great writer but most of his DW eps were just alright to me.

i didnt mind this episode i felt that it was more of a memory episode a montage to the classic series with the ice warriors rather than a DW episode which wasnt bad but it was more alien focused than doctor side

I feel like I missed something or didn't quite catch exactly what was going on in the episode.
I don't understand why the British men on Mars were from almost a century ago. They would have all died. How could they still be alive on Mars all those years. Unless the Martians ship time traveled. |

To be fair we have to be thankful that Mark saw reason and didn't do a sequel to Sleep No More. __________________

Yeah I can see how it was mostly filler. Usually filler eps don't happen very often in the shows with shorter seasons.
