I was floored! It'll be interesting to see how he copes with his blindness for the rest of the season.

If there's one thing I was not expecting it's for the doctor to be handicapped one way or another it's gonna be interesting to see how he deals with it (pretending to be alright can only get you so far) and what role it's gonna play in his regeneration

OMG wow. I absolutely loved that episode. We usually get an episode where the endings are neatly tied up like a bow. This one didn't and I love that the Doctor is still blind. I wonder how long Bill won't notice though.
My favorite sequence in that episode was the part where Bill loses focus and then we see snippets and very quick scenes of the Doctor and the rest fighting those space zombies. I thought that was really well done that we didn't see what happened. It kind of sucks that oxygen is depleted and they're making profit out of it. When Bill "died" I was sure that the Doctor had a plan so I wasn't worried. I also knew that the blindness was temporary so I wasn't worried. I guess I was spectacularly wrong about that. I'm a bit perplexed at the mythology of how the Doctor solved the problem in the end and how he rescued Bill. The space zombies just gave their oxygen away and everything was alright. Maybe I need to re-watch. Oh and that bit of Bill dying and she was crying out to her mom, that was so sad to watch. __________________

Yeah me too I didn't think twice about him being blind because there's no sense of danger usually (and I was even thinking that during the show "nothing's gonna happen" ) and I was pleased that they're showing that sure he's a time lord but he can still get wounded in the end and strangely enough I hope that they go with this idea until the end of the series : he's blind, how is that going to work when it comes to saving earth or the universe?

I would really love for them to make him blind until he regenerates. Unless they give us another quick fix in the next ep which I don't want. I want this to be a part of the Doctor's SL going forward.

a quick fix would be so cheap because here it fits perfectly into the storyline : he can't go on blindly, he's going to have to regenerate at some point and here what if he willingly accepts this regeneration in order to get his sight back?

Yeah, that would mean he regenerates early. Peter did say that he's shot his regeneration scene which may be a misdirect too since we know his last ep is the CS. I guess we'll see how it plays out but I was happy to see that in the teaser for the next ep, he's still very much blind.
