Plot Overview
A collection of interweaving stories all based in the corrupt, crime infested hell-hole that is Basin City. Heavily influenced by film-noir, the main storylines concern a hulking brute called Marv (Mickey Rourke), who is seeking the murderer of a beautiful woman who was killed while asleep in bed with him; an ex-photographer called Dwight (Clive Owen) who accidentally kills a hero cop and has to cover it up; and a soon-to-be-retiring policeman called Hartigan (Bruce Willis) who is incarcerated for a crime he didn't commit. All based on the brilliant graphic novels "Sin City", "The Big Fat Kill" and "That Yellow Bastard", written and illustrated by Frank Miller.

"Sin City" is infested with criminals, crooked cops and sexy dames, some searching for vengeance, some for redemption and others, both. The film incorporates storylines from three of Miller's graphic novels including 'Sin City,' which launched the long-running, critically acclaimed series, as well as 'That Yellow Bastard' and 'The Big Fat Kill.' Where Hartigan, a cop with a bum ticker and a vow to protect stripper Nancy (Jessica Alba).. Mickey Rourke as Marv, the outcast misanthrope on a mission to avenge the death of his one true love, Goldie (Jaime King), and Clive Owen as Dwight, the clandestine love of Shelley (Brittany Murphy), who spends his nights defending Gail (Rosario Dawson) and her Old Towne girls (Devon Aoki and Alexis Bledel) from Jackie Boy (Benicio Del Toro), a dirty cop with a penchant for violence

From IMDB

Anyway, just to say that the official Sin City website is online now, with tailers and downloads and the like.

The trailer is looking pretty good, though Elijah is barely in it. Unless I missed him :look:

The website up there ^^ in the first post has stuff about it...nopt so much on Elijah, but watch the trailer, cause I am so liking the look of this film! I really like what they've done with the black&white vs. colour, it makes it look really cool!

Go watch the trailer, go *shoos*

Somewhat grusome :spoiler:

Over on the Movies board, Half Dark Underline says that

Elijah Wood's character is a serial killer who chops off his victim's head, mounts them on walls and then eats the rest of their bodies.

...yeah. And that's just his character.

Which sounds pretty damn briliant to me

I watched the trailer wish there was eli in it but it looks really good, it's a really big cast, it is the teaser trailer, so will there be a theatrical one released?

i tried looking for pics but i only found the posters of bruce wilis and clive owen. The movie does looks really cool, i really like in the trailer how it's black & white with the use of red as well it looks good, i laughed at the outline of elijahs glasses i dunno why it just seemed so funny to me.

I don't think Elijah's part is very big. It seems to be mainly about Bruce Willis, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba...possibly Brittany Murphy.

But even if it's not much Lij, I still really want to see it now. The whole look of the piece just looks absolutely fabulous. I'm trying to get everyone to find the trailer, cause it's just. Too. Cool.

Emaily, I completely agree with what you were saying. The use of colour to really stand out against the black and white makes it look so interesting. And the whole comic book look to it, like Elijah's glasses as you mentioned

It's such abig cast, a real all-star cast. A bit like ESTOSM

I don't really know a lot baout the universe, cause I haven't read the comics or anything, but it all just looks really exciting.

Yeah, I'm excited about this film
