My first thought when I saw it was, singing... but I didn't think she'd actually do it. Yay for it being that kind of show!

I would like to hear some different song than GaD too but I still think that it´s more likely that she´s going to sing GaD anyway. She is used to the GaD songs and comfortable singing it. Just remember how she was nervous when she was suppose to sing on Ellen and the singing didn´t come right. and I guess she wants to sound good when it´s going to air in radio. just my thoughts.

I honestly have no idea what she could sing. G&D seems plausible b/c is familiar, but weird since G&D is no longer around... I'm hoping for something new

Would you rather she moved away from musicals & focused more on plays in terms of live theatre?

I really want to hear her sing & if it's G&D then fine but I'd like to hear something different. I'll be holding my breath & crassing my fingers till she's done though - that's a lot of pressure when it's just her & it's on radio!

What am I saying?! I'm sure she'll be fab!

That was my first thought. Hahaha. It's too nerve-wracking for me. I just assumed that she had to sing, since everyone is expecting her to sing. If she has a choice... I'm not sure what I'd want. Hahaha.

Well, to be honest, I'm not blown away by Lauren's voice. She seems to have a good one but her nerves are getting in her way all the time, it was better when she sang on broadway but she still hit a lot of wrong notes, especially on the tony preview thing with Kate. She just didn't seem to be relaxed while singing in public which's kind of odd when you think about that she agreed to perform as Adelaide. Her singing on Ellen wasn't serious but you could still see that she wasn't comfortable. She sang way better during the next on the show commercial than she did when she actually wanted to sing for Ellen, I'm talking about the guitar appearance here. I just want to see a relaxed non hyper Lauren so that I can enjoy it too.

The atmosphere of the show is very relaxed, and if she sings, she'll just be accompanied by a piano; it's not a stressful environment. So I want to hear her sing.

If she sings I'd prefer for it not to be a GaD song. I would like to hear her sing not as NY-accented Adelaide or as drunken/brokenhearted Lorelai, but just as Lauren.

Singing Lauren or not, I'm hoping we all get to at least hear the show. If worse comes to worse I will buy the dvd when it's available.

ETA: Ele, I agree with you on the Tony Preview thing. In fact, I didn't even think that Kate sounded good on that, which was a big surprise to me.

Well, she doesn't have to sing if she doesn't want to; maybe she won't. Most people do, but I'm sure it's up to each guest.

Katka, I don't know if you watched the Chatterbox video I sent you, but Julia Murney forgets nearly every single line of "Someone Else's Story" and Seth has to cue her constantly. It's hilarious. It's definitely not a Tony concert kind of thing.
