I've had the same email, from Amazon, but my date has changed from the 6th to the 13th of December. :(

How annoying! I want to read it the same time as everyone else :(

valeposh 10-14-2016 02:13 PM

That stinks. :( I was planning on using the UK Amazon as well.

Thanks! The timing definitely worked out perfectly. I didn't realize the book was in the works long before the show was revived.

I actually just went back and watched the Gilmore Girls reunion at the ATX Festival and Lauren mentioned finally watching the show/the pilot because of a project she was working on which I can only assume was this book.

Oh, that makes sense!

Hm, that's weird, I wonder why. It doesn't look like the U.S. date has changed.

It never really clicked until I watched it again.

It looks like the date's the same in Canada as well.

valeposh 10-15-2016 07:36 AM

Man, I'll try and have it shipped from the US then. :pout:

From my husband's family (he's from the US).

the_strawberry_girl 10-15-2016 12:11 PM

I wonder if the date changed because the publisher changed. I'll be in the UK when it releases in the US. I have the hard copy on order, but hopefully I can download the kindle version from my US amazon account when I'm in the UK.

That's a good idea! I have a US account. I can just get the book there on my kindle while I wait for the physical copy! Thanks!! :D

Welcome :) :)

Not a good news for me either. I also wanted to order from UK Amazon and I don´t read e-books. Maybe I´ll try to find some other source.

Time to try ebooks! :D

Hm, the date is still listed as Nov 29th on the German Amazon, it will, however, not delivered until Dec 9th.

Maybe the emails were about that?

I'm confused.

The Ebook sounds like a good idea.

I am hoping that you all are right regarding the book about Franny going to LA . I really want that to happen. I seem to remember her saying a while back that she had missed her deadline on it. She must have (hopefully) been able to put a hold on it. Has anyone heard anything new about she and Mae writing the screenplay for Royal We? If they're still doing that it could get in the way too.

Wow that is crazy that there is going to be delays on the release of her book in other countries. My preorder of the book and audio book is at the b & n where my daughter works so I will get them the day they are released here. Hopefully the release date won't change here.

Hayley3380 10-18-2016 05:03 AM

The French Amazon has 2 books listed, one from Ballantine Books (US publisher) with the nov. 29th release date and one from Virago Press (UK pubisher) with the Dec. 6 release date so I'm guessing that's why the UK pre-orders were changed :)

Danke 10-20-2016 02:35 AM

I just ordered the book on british amazon (right now the pounds are so cheap for me that it´s worth to way few more days) and estimated delivery is 15 Dec. 2016 - 20 Dec. 2016. I guess it will be lovely christmas holidays:sigh:

That's quite common actually. Release dates being pushed back because of different publishers.

I posted this in the news thread, but I suppose it belongs here as well. Lauren will be at Barnes & Noble in Union Square (NYC) on Friday, December 2nd.
B&N Store & Event Locator - Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between)

That's two NYC book events so far; I wonder where else she'll go and when more appearances will be announced.
