Huh. It is confusing... why do you have a roundtable interview? Did she advertise her book or something, maybe?

Per fellow publicist @ssafro's request, @joespinelli is getting the first galley of Lauren Graham's new book.
So maybe we will hear some more once he has read the book, it must be fully or nearly fully written for it to be read by publishers. Defently need to find out more about the world of publishing.

yay! I'm so happy they'll be able to sell the book internationaly. That was the first thing I thought when I found out 'cause I'll want to buy it, of course.

I don't think having the international rights means that the book will be sold internationally as soon as the American version will be released. That's not the case for most of the books. And in times of ebay and amazon it shouldn't be a problem to order the book from the U.S. I do it all the times.

Yeah I wasn't thinking of worldwide distribution as a good thing for me- I'd order it on Amazon right now if I could - but just to have a wider number of people who maybe aren't as informed about every Lauren's move but would still buy her book if they saw it in a bookstore.

Haha, I know right. By the end of G&D those that weren't before were certainly well-versed in Broadway.

And now we take on the literary world. i have no idea what any of these tweets mean. LOL

The news made it on Perez Hilton.
Lauren Graham To Take On The Literary World! | PerezHilton.com

and gjoni - I know what you mean with the title. I thought about it, too. but still didn´t see any perfect way to solve it.

I'm just stoked about seeing her clearly dubbed as an author up there, each time I open up the board...

Maybe something from the headlines sprouting up all over, like the one above:

LG to take on the Literary World!

or

Graham Turns Author!

and after that, the title of the book?

With all of these tweets, even not knowing for sure what they all mean, I am getting so excited about this book and can't wait for it to be published. Hopefully soon so she can do a book tour before Parenthood goes back into production (hopefully about that, too). I'm wondering if this roundtable is something that the publishing company does to talk to the writers? Is he/she saying that Lauren was just one of two writers out of 100 or more there who was acturally alert and sharp at this roundtable? If so, that is amazing but not surprising.

The news are being spread all over the internet. I like it!

Well, it's good anyway. I've never bought anything from outside the country, but I was worried 'cause a friend once tried to buy something on the internet and they wouldn't ship it to Brazil or something. That's not the case with ebay or amazon so I guess everything's good.

Btw, I'm also confused about this whole book stuff 'cause I have no idea how the process of publishing and selling works.

Thanks for sharing everyone! Such exciting news!!
I guess that gives us an answer to which of the main 5 GG people weren't involved with the Gilmore Girls Companion because they "were holding onto their stories for a book they might write themselves one day".
