I never thought the ratings would jump so much, good point that it might go down though (kinda sad) but I'm sure it will be back, NBC doesn't have much and PH is one of the best shows on network TV right now.

OT Maybe I should send in my resume as the Photoshop pic of the different stars looks like it was done by my nephew.

The show features best crying on television.
"Mae Whitman and Lauren Graham can go from furrowed-brow screaming to open sobs in a heartbeat, and Parenthood has put that to superb use. As previously mentioned, Whitman in particular gets that adolescent frustration-cry exactly right, joining Claire Danes in the Teenage Weeping Hall of Fame."

Mae's been able to cry since she was a tot. I remember her bawling in that Meg Ryan/Andy Garcia movie. She has it down. LOL.

TVbytheNumbers shows that Parenthood's ratings stayed up there in the finals, with no drop :

Quote:
Parenthood
- 6.319 million viewers
- 4.1/7 HH
- 2.5/7 A18-49
So it was the #1 show in the 10pm timeslot, in the demo. Plus the # of total viewers went up from Parenthood's normal levels. These results will surely make it one of NBC's top rated scripted shows this week.

PH put on some fight for the finale. I´m happy the show left with a noise.

Thanks for the article, Vanessa.

ETA: EW review. looks like they´ve never seen the movie.

With the recent ratings, I can't help but wonder if NBC regrets not spreading the season out a little more in order to have PH on during May sweeps. I wish they had. At this point, we're probably looking at about a 5 month wait for the show to come back. That's way too much.

I think it was good to show the fnale when there was no buzz about other finales. Sure, now we have to wait even longer for a possible third season but we also barely had hiatusses (hiaten? lol) so the show could keep their audience. Look a The Event which keeps dropping more and more and you can see how impoartant it is even when your audience is small. I just hope there will be more buzz in the new season about.the show cause I think part of the higher ratings is due to the positive reviews we have got and not only because it was a finale.
