And I was just running here to remark on "them girls"!!! Wow, Lauren, never knew those were there! I mean, I get she was doing that to land the management job but seems it backfired. ![]()

Crosby my boy, you need to get your act together. Max's flippout at the amusement park was really just an amazing scene.. and I don't usually like the Max scenes at all. ETA: I've just gotta say this: If my husband ever felt the need to come up to me and tell me he would never cheat on me, I'd suddenly be worried. ![]() Boo-hiss... no preview of future episode. | Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Wow! Another superb episode! I totally teared up at the end. Getting my thoughts together for my analysis but had to come here and declare my newfound love for this show & cast. Throughout the beginning of S2 I was very critical of it and honestly didn't feel as if it had a strong chance at a future. Now, my tune has changed and I firmly feel that this is one of the best shows on television hands down! Yes, it still has its flaws but I just can't deny the heart & humor and even though I'm not a parent myself I always feel like I can relate to these characters and their struggles & triumphs. Okay...my review to come next. ![]()

| What a great episode. May be my favorite of the year. I also noticed "the girls" making several appearances tonight. Glad to know it just wasn't me. I thought the Adam/Kristina/Max story was done incredibly well. Kudos to the writer and actors. Mark and Sarah were so sweet together. Loved that he gave her the book on playwriting. Zeek hugging Crosby after bailing him out of jail was also sweet. I never get the "huggy" feeling from Zeek. And maybe Crosby can finally straighten up and grow up. __________________ * "Because Lorelai is obviously a killer and Rory is her accomplice."Bev ~ twitter: @Bev__Schultz | |||

| I really enjoyed this episode. I've actually really enjoyed the last few episodes very much. I'm sorry we have a little break coming up now but it seems like maybe that's necessary anyway as I doubt they're much more than 2 episodes ahead in filming right now. I know the next two weeks are reruns, but do we know that the one 3 weeks from now is new? I hope so. ![]() __________________ Debbie ![]() | |||

| Wow, I really enjoyed this episode... I think this half of the season is the best half so far... I have really love the last few episodes. And wow was Lauren wearing a wonder bra or what? I thought her outfit when she was slipping the envelope under Mark's door was cute... of course, she always looks cute. I really enjoyed her scenes.. Zeke hugging Crosby but agreeing that he really screwed up... good scene. Adam yelling at his parents...I didn't care for. No matter what, I have never yelled at my parents... I respected them too much. I know he was hurt, but he was a little out of line there. I did enjoy the scenes with Adam and Max though... they were pretty good. __________________ ![]() Sonia | |||

| Okay, didn't see that coming. Not songs, no I'm going after Seth letter not even a story like she thought she was writing, but a play. And according to Mark, a great one that needs to be finished. lmao when Sarah was going out the door and Mark was there and scared the crap out of her. Not the right door to go to for visiting lol. Loved Sarah's excitement when she went into the house and talked to Camille about staying up all night writing, but wouldn't let her read it. But she did want Mark to read it. I am glad that Pete saw that the reason Sarah wanted the manager job was to make more money or at least a big part of it and said that she would make more as a bartender and could have all of the shifts that she wanted. Sure, it was to his benifit, too. I don't think that "the girls" had anything to do with it, and yeah, where did they come from? lol As much as I really hate what Crosby did, I do really feel sorry for him. And after being punched, arrested, bailed out and I am sure talked to by/with Zeek, pushed away by Jasmine and Adam and coming home to the houseboat and finding all of his stuff there, I think that he is on his way back. And I also think that next time we get a new ep, I am thinking that all will be right with at least Adam. I am hoping anyway. (No spoiler just my way of thinking). I loved Sarah getting caught by Mark trying to retrieve the envelope after having second thoughts. So funny. I knew that there couldn't be any major story between Sarah and Mark but I was thinking/hoping that there was something more. I really liked it though. Maybe once she finishes the play and something comes of it, he will be back for another episode at some point. Oh, and Mark giving Sarah the book on play writing, so sweet. My first thoughts went to a good place with Adam taking Max to the amusement park but shortly after they got there I got to thinking that nothing good could come of it. Especially after Kristina called. Lately I have seen so many things where people have made promises and they haven't turned out well at all and then when Max got so upset and was screaming at Adam saying that he had promised that they would ride the ride all day I am beginning to think that a promise should not be made unless you are l,000 times sure that it can't and won't ever be broken. I liked that the sisters were trying to have and intervention to get Adam to talk to Crosby even though they also thought that what Crosby did was wrong, but could see that it was too early for that. Sonia, have to agree with you about Adam yelling at his parents. It was wrong of him. Felt bad for Julia and Joel that they didn't get to go out for their Anniversary. Everyone was spot on with everything tonight. Kind of missed Amber, Drew and Haddie but they really weren't needed tonight. I am sure that I have missed a lot and what I wrote isn't in any order, but have to admit that this was a really great episode and am now going to go watch it again. | Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There are so many kudos to give out for this epi I don't even know where to begin. I actually just ran back into my living room & rewound the scene where Mr. Cyr offers his criticism & seriously...can Lauren get any more adorable?! And yes, Deb, that time I happened to glance South & notice the lacy voluptuous bra! Okay...let's see...Sarah/Mr. Cyr - I'm sorry I could care less about the age difference, I think these 2 have such an incredible repore with each other! I love them as a couple. Their scenes are precious & I respect how he is so supportive and able to recognize her talent. He's SUCH a great and positive influence, she really needs more of these types of people in her life. Gosh, is it awful that I hope The Event gets canned so he can become a permanent member of this cast? I know he still has a year to go before Amber graduates so I'm willing to wait. Anyway...where was I? Oh yeah, that first scene w/ Lauren informing Camille of her new writing endeavors was precious and you really felt her trepidation & characteristic lack of confidence, even moreso in the following scene at Mark's door. I think that's my favorite scene now w/ Lauren, it was just delivered in classic Lauren Graham style! LOL! So sweet, gah, I can't get over their chemistry! And once again with the scene of his "criticism", Lauren is just on. SUCH a great & welcome change from the emotional trauma she has gone through the last couple of episodes. I DID miss Amber & Drew...it was kinda weird seeing her all by herself at the end at night but I understand the reasons why they were absent for TV sake. OMG, Mr. Cyr scaring her like that, I DIED!!! Lauren is so freakin brilliant at comedy, she's just a riot! I bet Jason's laughter wasn't even scripted it just came natural like mine. Oh! And the scene immediately after when she frantically goes around cleaning up! I have SO done that, I really laughed my keester watching it! And the scene with him delivering the Elements of Playwriting book was so sweet! Goodness SO many scenes w/ Sarah/Lauren I was in hog heaven! LOL! Adam/Kristina/Max - Wow, these 3 were riveting! That scene at the amusement park was something else. SO uncomfortable to watch but I don't have a doubt that these types of scenes exist around a child w/ Aspberger's. My heart truly goes out to those parents, I don't know how they manage! Max was excellent and Peter was exceptional! For once, Kristina's annoying eccentricities transfered to Adam and I was wanting to seriously put a piece of duct tape over that man's mouth! But I totally bought his behavior cuz Peter did such a great job of selling it. He really shone in this episode! And Kristina was so touching! I know her character is overly emotional and can drive you NUTS but I really felt for her here and thought she was brilliant tonight! I really liked how honestly she played her confession, acknowledging her weakness of being too emotional sometimes. And a brilliant script from the writers taking us through Adam's slow realization and awakening if you will on how to properly approach the "talk" with Max. That hug in the park broke my heart, truly! Loved the scene at the end with Kristina reading the story even after Max had passed out! Crosby/Jasmine - We all know Crosby royally F-ed up. HE knows he royally F-ed up. His parents & siblings know. He has a LOT of atoning for his behavior but I was really moved by Dax's performance. I really feel his pain, suffering, confusion & frustration not knowing where to begin after the heinous...okay maybe not THAT bad...horrible act is probably better. Hopefully Adam will come around soon to be there for his brother cuz Zeek was right...blood is thicker than water. Now, I know this whole board practically HATES Jasmine and I agree that she is very controlling & self-centered but I really felt for her character! And I LOVED the part where she broke down to Julia! It was nice to see some interaction between those 2 and you really got a sense that for all her flaws, Jasmine really is a caring individual having a hard time dealing with this pain & betrayal so "Leave Britney alone!!" LOL! sorry just had to reference that. Anyway, a very sweet and sympathetic performance from Joy tonight! ![]() Julia/Joel - I'm really beginning to care for this couple! They were incredible tonight and for once we were able to see Julia willing to sacrifice her anniversary dinner to be there for Jasmine and let go of the "control". Generally I'm on the same page as you Deb when the husband makes a "promise" to never cheat, but in this case, considering the past questionable act w/ that other parent in S1, I found it really honest & sweet! Julia just hugging him touched me and made me warm to her more brittle character quality. Ahhh...gah! I love this show, just love it! Same goes for Lauren. I am so happy to have found an actress like this on television I can follow with such fervor & excitement! She is SO insanely talented! Okay...my fingers are tired and I'm sobbing like an idiot & I've probably bored everyone stiff so I'll leave you to it! Can't wait to read other's reactions to tonight's epi. ![]() ETA: OH! And was that Massive Attack I heard at one point? I got excited when I heard that song cuz I love them! Jesus, Mary & Joseph...looking at all of this type...I sure do prattle on sometimes! LOL! __________________ Last edited by Talula78; 03-01-2011 at 10:34 PM. | |||

| I really enjoyed this episode. It was so nice to see Sarah happy, and even better, hopeful. She was just glowing through much of the episode. And I really liked her scenes with Mr. Cyr. It's funny, after they talked and he turned and left, I was thinking that Sarah needed to at least say "Thank you" to him for taking the time to read her piece, but she just sat there. Then all of a sudden she bounded up and headed out the door after him to say "Thanks!". Lauren was so funny when Sarah was startled by Mark. And again she's got a big glass of wine. This girl know how to relax. The Max, Adam, Kristina stuff was pretty powerful. They were really just floundering in that first conversation, and it seemed like Adam just unraveled after that. The Dr. wasn't really helpful either, even though A & K weren't in much shape to get advice. Quote:
) as they try to help him through this.On one hand Camille and Zeek were doing the same thing RE: Crosby, trying to help their son in a time of need. But A) Crosby kind of caused his own mess B) Crosby's a grown up and C) their other son Adam was having a time of need himself, and they didn't come to help him, but to put more responsibility and guilt onto him. It made perfect sense that he just got up and walked away, since the last time he got into a heated discussion with someone in his living room, that's when he blew up at Crosby and said something he regretted.

| Obsessed Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, Hannah, I agree w/ you on Adam's scolding of his parents. No, it wasn't necessarily right, but it WAS plausible considering how unraveled Adam was becoming. And can I just say this about the show...each character is tremendously flawed in their own way, but the more chinks in their armor the more I truly begin to feel & relate to them as human beings. They feel "real" to me, each and every one! Yes, it's endearing to see a glimmer of hope in Sarah's life. I'm really looking forward to the completion of this play. | |||
