Yay, the opening credits said Kate Jennings Grant is a guest star! Awesome. I can't wait to see her. Love a G&D/Parenthood connection.

I thought that was her! What a nice G&D reunion.

ETA: And is that Vanessa Marano in the previews for next week?

I really enjoyed this episode - lots of Sarah. The ending with Adam and Max was so sweet.

I thought this was a really good episode tonight. Billy was totally MIA though.

My first impression of this episode was that it was a real snoozefest. However, I have to admit that I have been absolutely exhausted all day because I only got 4 hours of sleep due to Leno last night. Therefore, I am going to withhold further judgement until I can watch again tomorrow on a full night's sleep.

And yeah, I thought that was Kate. Very neat!

ETA: Ok, I said I wouldn't say any more for tonight but I just had to comment on how drop-dead gorgeous Lauren looked in the nightclub scenes!

Yes, auntbee, that was Vanessa.

I really liked this episode. Not awesome like the first one but very good. It reminded me of the first season, with Sarah more calm, fragile and interacting with Amber.
I think next week's will be great too, with the Drew thing and the double date thing.

I thought it was a pretty good show... I missed that there wasn't a get together with the 4 sibs in the one. I like when the 4 get together and talk. But all in all it was pretty good. Joel getting mad...I am surprised he didn't yell more. Crosby did good going off on Renee'. And I loved Adam and Max finally connecting. Sarah trying to have fun with Amber was cute. Kristina was kind of irritating with the campaigning stuff but Haddie going off about it fixed that.

Vanessa has also been on Six Feet Under

I do think I need to watch again before having a final opinion, although I will say that I think the Julia and Joel situation didn't really play out. They had a fight about it, obviously weren't on the same page and then suddenly decided it was fine? I think they should discuss a bit more before trying....

It's Vanessa. We've already hashed it out on the spoiler thread when we found out. lol

I really enjoyed seeing Amber - I love Amber/Sarah scenes so much. I hope Kate recurs as her friend's mom! I was really happy that Kate's scene had Lauren in it.

I'm definitely intrigued by Sarah/Mike. I think their chemistry could really be something.

Loved the whole Crosby/Jabbar's grandma storyline. Baseball is his church - CLASSIC! Standing up to her is going to earn her respect. I enjoyed them watching baseball together at the end.

YAY for Joel! He's a great character this season - I think he's making progress towards not letting Julia walk all over him all the time.

I really felt for Adam in this episode. Having a child with autism hinders a lot of communication between that child and their parents - which can be extremely frustrating. I loved the last scene. Treasure.

ETA: I was happy that Ausiello tweeted one of Amber's lines during the show. It's nice to know that Parenthood was the show he was watching live at that time.

Yes, I felt this storyline was too rushed. I don't want every storyline to tie itself up in a neat little bow, I want some things to be left a little frayed at the edges. Otherwise, I feel it was a solid episode & I enjoyed it. Of course I ate up every Sarah/Amber scene (missed Drew but next week's episode looks to cure that) & loved Amber thanking her mom at the end. Although, I felt they could've developed Amber's friendship w/ Kelsey (sp?) a little more. I liked Crosby standing up for himself to his mother-n-law & LOVED the 3 of them watching the baseball game at the end! (hehe...wow, I've never had that kind of exuberance while watching a baseball game lol) Yes, Kristina annoyed me but she was given a hard pill to swallow which hopefully humbled her a bit and made her see how controlling she can be. Adam also came to see his selfishness & made a positive step towards opening communication w/ Max. The treasure talk SO reminds me of my nephew who's obsessed w/ pirates & ships.

And I agree, Debbie, that Lauren looked stunning at the club!

my favorite part of the tonight's episode was the promo for the next week. just kidding.

I think the story was quite okay, but for some reason it didn't get my attention so much. Julia is still annoying me. Joel changed his mind too fast. Where are Zeek and Camille? (fine, they show up, but... where's their storyline?)

I only liked to see Max and Adam getting along, Crosby and Jabbar on skype talking to Jasmine and also Sarah going out with the girls.

Nice to see Kate in the ep, don't remember that coming up as a spoiler.

Like that connections were made this week, Adam and Max, Crosby and Renee and Sarah with Amber. Speaking of I think they cut a bit out of of them at the concert I was waiting to see.
