Much more Lauren in this episode! That makes me endlessly happy. The ending surprised me a little- ok a lot. Didn't expect Sarah to knock on Jim's door.

I'm loving Dax more and more.

The thing with Sydney suddenly swimming so well just was a bit ridiculous, imo.

All in all though, this is by far my favorite episode so far. Gives me hope.

I really enjoyed this episode.

Who knew that Sarah was a mechanic?

Okay - why were Sarah and Amber sharing a single bed when there were two single beds in the room that Amber and Drew were sharing? Couldn't they either move one of the beds into the room that Sarah was in or have Sarah and Drew trade places?

I still dislike Raquel.

The swimming pool scene with the whole family was fun.

LOL! I wondered the same thing. It was a hilarious scene though.

Not a bad episode. I didn't love it as much as the last one, but I still enjoyed it.

I loved the scene of Sarah and Amber trying to sleep. Hilarious.

If you want to teach your kid how to swim, great, but Julia invading the swim class seemed odd to me (not her methods, just the fact that it happened while I think the class was supposed to be going on).

Lauren's "Oh dear God, it's come to this?! This?!" about the Tibetan prayer stone was quite funny.

I liked seeing Drew and Lauren trying to fix the car together. It was a sweet (yet understated), simple moment between them.

Hattie and Adam's conversation was a really good, touching scene (and the Ida Maria song was well-used there).

The pool scene was fun.

Music that I picked up on:

Brett Dennen - "Make You Crazy" (coffee shop)
Test Your Reflex - "Do We Belong" (Crosby & Jabbar in car)
Thao Nguyen - "Cool Yourself" (Julia diving in pool)
The Kooks - "Shine On" (Sarah and Drew's conversation at the car)
Ida Maria - "In the End" (Adam & Hattie in her room)
Loudon Wainwright - "Swimming Song" (pool scene)

Yeah, Julia has only one speed- warp drive. She's trying really hard though and I give her credit for that.

Omg i know, i was like...what!?

Really liked the episode. The charachters are really starting to develop which I like. The focus shift in each episode is nice too. the falling out of bed was funny, but weren't Sarah's 2 kids sharing a room with 2 beds in the first episode or am i totally dilusional?

I actually really liked how the swim class scene brought out her Dad's mentality in her and make her realize how she has to adapt more. Dax's chrachter is also comming into his own nicely too. Sarah and the son fixing the car was a really sweet scene too.

What a great episode! ^^

I love the pool scene! It was nice to see all the family having a great time together, jumping from the diving board... even Max! I thought he wouldn't jump, but he did! so cute.

Sarah and Amber sharing the same bed was funny... They could have taken two blankets at least... to share the bed AND the blanket is kinda hard when you're not a couple.

I'm feeling so sorry for Julia... she's trying so hard to bond with her daughter. she's wrong, but I feel sorry for her anyway.

i liked this episode!

i thought the Sarah and Amber bed scene was funny! but i personally would have moved to the couch if i wasn't getting enough sleep in that single!

i wish Crosby would just tell his woman about Jabbar... like seriously he should know that waiting would just make things worse! i think its cute that Crosby was understanding about the machinery that Jabbar broke. to me, he acts more like a bigger brother than a father.

I wish Raquel would move away already! i can't stand that biotch! Poor Julia has to see this other woman act more like a mom to her daughter than herself... thats just insulting!

i wish we saw Max destroy the fish tank! i know im sick but it would make the show intense! anyways, i thought it was very moving when they showed him take a big step off the diving board into the water at the end! i really like that everyone was together and acting like a family (where was zeek?)

and im still in shock that Sarah went to Jim's? i thought she made it very clear that she wasn't ready?!

This was a great episode

Crosby was so sweet with his son,I agree that he needs to tell his girlfriend about him.

I am really glad that Max got into the school,I think it will be good for him.
He is so darn cute!!!

I can't stand Raquel either she is such a B**%$#
She needs to leave them alone she knows what she is doing always being around the husband and making Julia jealous.

Sarah going to Jim's house at the end suprised me too,I guess we will see where it goes from here.

I also love the scene with Sarah and Drew fixing the car that was really nice to see.

I am just loving this show so much and seeing Lauren on TV every week is awesome.

The ep was good but it felt a little choppy, they'd would just get into a scene and it would be over.

Love the Lauren scenes of course. Didn't like the break up with Jim, but I think it was meant for to be comedic in the end with the whole car not starting, them of course the phone is out of power. Nice how she went to see Jim in the end. Nice moments with Zeek, like how he opened up. LOL the scene with Amber in bed but really the other room has 2 beds wouldn't it make more sense that Drew be in the room with one bed and the girls in the other?

The pool stuff was too short but fun to see Lauren/Sarah in the diving board, strange how the family was the only people at the pool...

FYI anyone else see the dragonfly door knocker at Adam/Kristin's house?

Next weeks looks interesting again.

ETA - nice scene with Adam and Haddie, sad they missed the game, twice!
The stuff with Jabbar and Crosby is giving me flashbacks of Luke and April every time I see it, you just know something is going to blow up.
Apart from the bed nothing of Amber is a little sad.

I just get a feeling each week is rushed and if they had a choice they could stretch it to 2 hours or 22 eps for the season and not 13.

LOL loved how Sarah mocked the stone.

Thanks for the song list Claire

BTW "Lieutenant" by Happy Hollows was was also meant to be in ep3.

At the pool when the phone rang and Kristina saw that the school was calling. why didn't she just answer it? Why make Adam get out of the pool and answer while dripping wet?

I wonder what's up with Camille and Zeek that they're sleeping separately.

I do think it's sweet that the parents offered to buy Sarah a new car. And I thought it was quite mature of Sarah to turn down the offer because of all her parents were already doing for her and her kids. However, since the car got towed away to the auto graveyard, are we to assume that the parents will end up buying her a car?

Alright, I've seen the ep (without watching the second episode, I spoilt myself lol). Overall I thought it was a good eppy but would I watch it without Lauren? Definitely not. I think it's too cheesy and as soon as there's a little arguement in the room it's resolved way too soon. Like with Haddie (?), no talk in the world could make me not be pissed anymore that my parents missed such an important game in my life whereas the whole Braverman family easily made it to Max's game. Special kid or not, you have to take care of the siblings too. They could have easily split each other with Adam going to the game and Kristina going to the school with Max or vice versa. And the swimming lessons? No kid learns that in like a day, especially diving. And I hope Sarah went to Jim to apologize not to fool around with him again. It would make me like her a little bit less.

I want more drama.

PS: Lauren looked very nice in her swim suit. Way better than Erika and Mae.
