A dishwasher seems like such a luxury to me. Sarah, Your remodeling sounds exciting, and free iPads sound awesome!

Val, I hope you'll have nice weather for the wedding!

Thanks, they are coming in just a little bit. We had built-in dishwashers in all of our apartments but here at the house we only have had a portable one. With the remodeling we will be able to have a built-in one again. Ulgh, I wouldn't have wanted to do dishes by hand with the three kids kids here. It wouldn't be bad with just the three (four if we count the grandson) but am to spoiled to go without now.

Had to send our 55" TV to the repair shop last Thurs and just found out yesterday that they couldn't fix it. Fortunately we have insurance on it so we get a new one to replace it for free. Went up to the store today and we get a 60" one. Unfortunately I don't think that all of our devices will fit it because they are too old. It will be delivered tomorrow so we will have to wait and see.

We need to find someone who can show us how to use all of our new stuff, mainly phones and pads. My poor old and fading brain can't figure it out. Now a new tv thrown in there, too, I am going to be completely lost. I already felt that we were paying for things that I didn't know how to do or even knew was available. I feel like my brain is stuck in the 20th century. Maybe wait a little while and my grandson will be able to show me

Technology changes so quickly...my middle school students don't know how to open Microsoft Word and type and save an essay, but they're experts in so many other areas of technology (mostly having to do with phones) that totally confuse me. A couple of them recently gave me a Snapchat tutorial, but I still don't get it.

Wow. That's mind-blowing to think about.

I feel old.

Me too.

What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm ushering at a few shows and mentally preparing myself for a long week of school. On Monday we're taking a field trip walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. It's even more terrifying than taking kids to the zoo.

I am old.

Claire, do you get to watch the shows when you usher? Have fun walking across the bridge on Monday. It is really weird what the kids now don't know how to do or don't even know what it is. It boggles the mind.

Yep! It's a great way to see a bunch of shows for free.

Thanks, hopefully the bridge walk is fun.

That is so cool. Do you usher at more than one theater or just one?

What are you seeing/working for, Claire?
The Brooklyn Bridge walk sounds like fun! If no bike runs a kid over.
I'm studying for the residency exam. Last year. June 16. Thankfully not the 18.

This weekend was "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City" (say that five times fast ), "Peer Gynt," and "Friend Art." Lost of good actors in all of them.

Sarah, I usher at a handful of different theaters.

We'll be sure to watch out for bikes!

Val, good luck with your studying! I'm sure you must be so stressed. It'll be an awesome feeling to have the test over with before your wedding, though, and I know you'll do great!

I finally finished unpacking from my last trip and got most of my house in order. And worked for a few hours today (from my recliner).

Hi girls!
Full wedding preparations day. Hair, then dress, then make up, then dress again. I'm actually a bit drained but it was fun. I also bought two awesome summer dresses in the downtime.
Claire, the pictures of your kids on Fb are super cute! I'm glad you've had a great time with them.

Good job unpacking, Christine! That always feels like such a chore to me. And you'll have to pack again soon!
