OT Thread #220 - Fall weather and hot chocolate
Old thread
Keep chatting! :) Quote:
We're starting our lindy hop class tonight. I hope there's an equal number of girls and guys so we can dance together, but I don't think so. We'll rotate. |
Thanks for the new thread, Val!
Your lindy hop class sounds like a lot of fun. :D |
It is! I mean, right now we're awkward and such, but I'm hoping we'll get better! Plus they do 4 nights of free dancing every week, so once we get a little less awful we'll try and exercise more. :D
|
Why did you choose this dance, Vale?:) I prefer waltz and polka:D
Any plans for the weekend? Dave´s sister is 30 this Sunday so we have some family lunch tomorrow. |

Lindy hop is full of young people, and it's all with jazz/swing music, which I love. We're celebrating my nephew's birthday Sunday as well! He turns 3 tomorrow, but we're doing the party on Sunday. Jay and I are making the cake, and I'll share a pic if (hopefully) it turns out alright. :) The weather here is rainy all weekend, which sucks, but at least I'm not working! |
Val, the cake you made looked fabulous! How was the party?
The Lindy looks like fun to me. :D This week seems to be going by really slowly so far. |

I agree, this week is going slowly. We're going to Expo this weekend though. :D |
Nice! Have fun at the Expo. :)
I'm skipping school tomorrow (sshhhh) to go to New York Comic Con, and we don't have school on Monday for Columbus Day, so I'm excited about having a long weekend now! |
Claire - long weekend sounds great, have fun!
Vale - Enjoy Expo and tell us how it was:) We are going to opera with Dave´s great aunt tomorrow. We are seeing Rigoletto. It is not really my thing so I hope it is short or something. lol |

Claire, that's so cool that you have a 4-days weekend! :D I'm off tomorrow as well. Last year Jay and I were in NY around Comic Con time (remember?) and there were a lot of people dressed up in the streets. :D |
I've seen Rigoletto too and also liked it, and I'm not a huge opera fan or anything. :D Enjoy!
Val, enjoy your day off! I do remember that last year; at first we were confused about why so many people were dressed up. :D |

Katka - I thought constantly of you at work today cause German google celebrates 605 years of prague's astronomical clock today :D Not much going on in my life rigth now. Since I moved up at work I'm working even more but I love it. But I slowly I feel that I need vacation, only had 7 vacation days so far this year. But long vacation days are coming up luckily. :D |

I attempted a NY cheesecake for a dinner with friends tonight but I'm afraid I don't know our new oven very well. :P |

I'm making a video for my dad's birthday and my mom is sending me all those old pics I've never seen of my dad and some are hilarious, he looked like a spy back in the 80s. (maybe he was :look:) Vale - I hope your cake is tasty :D |

Ele, you've definitely got a great vacation to look forward to! It's funny to see old photos of your parents, isn't it? Val, I hope your cheesecake turned out! |
