Happy 4th July to the americans

I've just started Game of Thrones and I LOVE it! So intriguing and disturbing and beautiful, can't wait to see more (only 4 episodes in)!

Lol, I tried to watch it but they lost me at the end of the second episode when they killed the innocent dog/wolf. my poor heart can´t take stuff like that (that they almost killed the kid in that episode didn´t affect me that much.ups.lol)

What are you going to do in Boston? And they hardly ever show the equestrian olympic stuff on our tv:/

I'm going to a Metric concert tonight! Can't wait! I'll be leaving for my friend soon already and in the afternoon we'll be going to Amsterdam already. It's been forever since I've been there (not counting my work days in lol).

Thanks for the 4th wishes! I'll be celebrating...at work. I'll get paid time & a half for it, so I suppose there are worse things.

Oh yeah, the dyrewolf killing was hard to take! I'm the same way with animals vs. human deaths on screen embarrassingly enough. At least they didn't show anything, that would've been even worse! The thing I'm having the hardest time wrapping my mind around & stomaching is the incest! Yeesh! Just thinking what it'd be like to...with my brother...ewwww GROSS!!!! *cringes* Oh, and the kid lives and his story looks to be pretty interesting! I'm mad though, cuz I was on youtube and ran into a MAJOR spoiler where one of my current fave characters dies & I'm kinda pissed about that!

In Boston, other than my cousin's wedding we'll be attending, we'll be doing some touristy stuff. The Freedom trail, The USS Constitution, whale watching (I'm SUPER excited about this!!!), visit the Cheers bar & going on a pub crawl w/ my bro, driving out to some nice New England towns & staying at a B&B there. I also would really like to visit Harvard. God, I'm gonna feel SO much like pulling a Lorelai & use the word "existentialist" in a sentence to some random student!

Jen - lol, I was told, when I started to watch, to not to get attachted to any of the characters, apparently lot of them will die. lol Not sure how much true is that as I didn´t continue. Maybe I will get back to it one day. As of now I´m enjoying my GG and PH rewatches

and it sure looks like you´ll have fun in Boston lol the existencialist thing.

It's a bad idea to look for spoilers online when you start watching a new show Jen, i thought you knew that. But i'm assuming you are referring to Sean Bean, even though it is so sad i would advice you to keep watching because the episodes just get better and better towards the end of the season.

I had my exam today and it didn't go well. Damn, I hate that subject so much. Everyone complained even our headmaster. But do they change anything? Nope. I will be verry verry lucky if I pass.

I have a "Friday" today as we have public holidays tomorrow and Friday. so nice. I went to library to pick up some summer reading and it was so frustrating. I had a long list of books I wanted to borrow and all the books were gone, all of them. So I had to endlessly walk around and pick some random books instead. Took me forever.

Jen - I am glad you are enjoying games of thrones, I have heard so much about it. I saw someone reading Games of Thrones book on the train the other day. Is the tv show based on the book or is the book based on the tv show? OMG OMG CHANGE YOUR PLANS,CHANGE YOUR PLANS !!! Come to London Not only because you have an awesome tour guide but it will be awesome !! Dressage tickets depend what day you go to and which catergory but it ranges from £187 to £387 per person.

Today I had to do a charity walk with all the children which was tiring pushing a double pushchair up a hill and around the park. Now I am relaxing with my beer and watching a film. We are renting a big beautiful log cabin and we´ll make a day trips to the sights around. Slovakia has a beautiful nature so I´m sad I won´t be able to go hike to the mountians. I have two things that I want to see. There´s one huge magical castle nearby that I´ve wanted to see since I was kid and then we are planning to go down a river on these historical wooden rafts. It´s the turistic thing to do there. Oh, and there´s also lots of board games with this group.lol I´ll see if there´s something more that I am able to participate in.

Katka - GG/PH rewatches are always fun! Which epis are you watching right now? I am looking forward to Boston, although it seems they're dealing with temps as bad as the ones we're dealing with in Texas! I was really hoping to escape this God forsaken heat! And WOW! That place in Slovakia is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so jealous! And no, I would HIGHLY suggest you NOT attempt to climb that!

Bev - Thanks for the wishes! Did you do anything special for the 4th?

Lars - Haha, yeah I know, but I was curious about the Comic-Con panels & it's impossible not to run into the "Ned Stark's Death" vids. I immediately was like wtf?! NO WAY!! I love me some Sean Bean, too bad he's not in the show anymore. Yeah, the stories are getting more interesting, I'm anxious to see where this season goes!

Vale - I didn't know you've visited Boston, or I don't remember you talking about it, that's cool! What did y'all do & how long were you there? Your West Coast trip sounds like a blast! I've been to most of those places but still have yet to make it to see the Grand Canyon. Oh well, I figure I have plenty of time to see it before I die & hopefully that won't be for a while. lol Hawaii was gorgeous, I'll always remember that trip. Which islands do you think you'd want to visit?

Jo - The show is based on the series of novels called "A Song of Ice & Fire"written by George R.R. Martin in the mid-90s. Game of Thrones is the first book in the series. I'm kind of interested in picking them up & giving them a chance. The show is pretty awesome and is reminiscent of LOTR, which I LOVE! You know how badly I want to go to London! Trust me, as soon as I get the first opportunity, I'm comin, so be prepared! You're SO taking me on a pub crawl! Those tix are still a bit pricey, but I'd KILL to see the Grand Prix Final! My mom & I are familiar with more than a few of the horses competing and we really hope one of them makes it to the final! Sorry the weather's being a turd but we could use some of your rain down here, we're dying! Oh! Meant to tell you, thanks for the suggestion of "Birdy-Skinny Love", I like it! Can't find Billy Thorpe though, he doesn't come up on any searches I did where I could listen to his music.
