Today was my last day of school! I'm officially finished! It's a lovely feeling. I'm going to go have fun tonight and either see "The Moth" (a storytelling thing) in Central Park or, if it rains, Rufus Wainwright performing.

I have a hard time growing my hair out, too; I always end up getting sick of it and chopping it all off. Summer is a good time to do that.

Claire, your cats have gotten so big. They look so pretty and sweet and it looks like they are a major sourse of entertainment. Some of those pics are so funny. Love the one with one of them sleeping in the sink.

ETA: And love the title, it's SO true! I hate the heat here! It sucks. And I don't just mean sucks, I mean really SUCKS! Some friends of mine went tubing on the river today & called me to tell me that they spent half the time picking their tubes up & carrying them the river was so shallow. This drought is getting scary!

It´s the last day of school today and I don´t know if it´s the same everywhere but we have a custom to bring flowers to your class teacher on this day. so seeing all the kids and teenagers carrying flowers this morning was kinda adorable.lol

And yeah, luckily for us the heatwaves come and go but for you they stay, unfortunatelly. We had the hottest day here yesterday and shortly after 5pm the electricity went off in the center, meaning all the trams suddenly stopped. I don´t have to add that I was traveling by tram at that moment.lol That lasted for half an hour. Can you imagine being in a tram in a direct heat and no AC? unbearable. Had to jump in a shower the second I got home.

Katka - Egad! So sorry, that bites! The ONLY reason we survive down here in this God forsaken heat is cuz of AC so when that's not present it's a killer! I don't know how I made it driving my first truck an entire summer w/ no AC! I've also been in the subway trams in NYC during a heat wave & I do not care to repeat that experience!

yeah, we don´t have AC anywhere so when it´s hot, it´s hot.lol but Prague subway is the coldest place during summer. I don´t know why but you always wish you had a sweater with you.lol

good title works for me right now... we are under a heat advisery here right now. granted it will only hit 96 but the humidity will make it feel like it is about 110 or higher... they have reported a few heat related deaths already this year. I personally can't handle the heat.... it throws my MS into a tailspin... Oh what a joy. Numb hands.. screwy balance... and extreme fatigue and my optic neuritis is a lot fun...makes reading a challenge. Ok enough of my whining... congrats to all who are working so hard on finishing school and on the new adventures in their lives... back to surfing for Lauren stuff and then to work... have a good day everyone!

Jen, I opted for seeing "The Moth" instead of Rufus Wainwright. I've seen Rufus in concert before and I love him, but Tuesday he was presenting stuff from his new opera, and I'm not the biggest opera lover. "The Moth" was fun. I was in Central Park again last night for a comedy show, and the headliner was Jim Gaffigan (former on-screen husband of LG!). He was funny.

I love koalas, and that .gif is so adorable, Jen.

Tonight I'm celebrating my friend's birthday and I'll get to see a few friends I haven't seen in awhile who are coming, so I'm looking forward to that. We're having a night out on the town in Brooklyn.

I´m suddenly enjoying Wimbledon very much since our girl is in final.lol I hope they will show the finale on TV, though. I had to find online streaming of todays match. pain.

Yes, I would! It would be much nicer than having to dodge water balloons on the last day of school!

I'm excited about the Wimbledon final, too. I'd imagine they'd have to air the final there, Katka!

Hey girls!!
Really hot here too and AC in my ward is broken but it should be fixed by Saturday. I hope so since I'm working both Saturday and Sunday. But first day went well! Didn't kill anyone. Hope to say that every day for the rest of my career lol.
Just booked my flight to NYC!! Sorry we won't see again, Claire. But as you know, I'm planning on coming a lot to NYC in the future!
