Wow! Greece, Bali... such cool places! I've been in Greece and loved it, never in Bali but after reading Eat, Pray, Love I'd really love to.
I hope to go to California/NYC in September but it's still all up in the air.

Hi everyone! Hope y'all's Easter weekend was nice. Did anyone do anything special? I was sick w/ an annoying head cold so singing was VERY difficult but I sucked it up and we had a couple of really wonderful services one of which was attended by former CBS news anchor Dan Rather. Anyway, I'm feeling a little better thanks to some good ole drugs like Sudafed PM.

Wow, what incredible trips! Bali? Greece? Nice. I only have plans to visit my friend in DC and see a play w/ my favorite actress (other than Lauren) in August. We're trying to work a quick weekend venture to NYC while I'm there but we'll see if that actually happens.

sydsgirl - That's a pretty impressive 21st bday present from your mom! I think I recall getting a cake and maybe a cute card, but a trip to a foreign country my mother would guffaw at!

ETA: And I'm so happy, Lenten season is over and I can have coffee again! Y'all don't understand how friggin hard it was to stave myself off of coffee for 40 days! I brewed a pot this morning at work and ohhhh I haven't experienced a taste so good!

My easter was great, lots of partying and no school at all Although I lost my voice on friday and it's still not back! Maybe not the best idea to drink and sing when I'm starting to get sick

My uncles are addicted to Bali. They've been there multiple times and love it!

My summer is gonna be great too. Can't wait. 3 more months though..

this boggles my mind. You are the first person I know who holds/keep/obay(?) Lenten. but good for you. And coffee of all things.lol

I feel like all my friends are going to US this year. this will be a very jealous summer for me it seems.lol I´m thinking about next year, I think it would be doable.

Oh wow, Bali looks and sounds incredible. And Greece, I've never been there even though it's not so far away. I think we might try and go away this summer, I keep looking at France cos I haven't been for a few years and I've always loved it. Think my camping days are over though, I'm too much of a homebody these days! I really want to go to the US too but I need to save up *sigh*

Heidi - Oh no, you're getting sick? That bites! I feel your pain though, just getting over this cold although this cough will probably last me an entire month. We're seeing Uncle Vanya by the Sydney Theatre Company. They're touring it to the Kennedy Center and I can't wait to see a play in that theater! I get warm fuzzies thinking of Lauren's Dad taking her there when she was a child to see plays which helped to inspire her love of acting. Anyway, hope you feel better soon!

Katka - Haha, thanks! Well, I wouldn't ever consider myself a gung-ho bible beating religious type but I do what I can.

Leah - Thanks to you too! OMG, I was driven mad on some days, that's for sure! I definitely got withdrawal headaches it kind of sucked and I didn't know if I could stick to it or not, but I did and I'm back to my helplessly addicted coffee self! Heh, I think this gif sums me up this morning:

The US takes a lot of saving lol. I started saving last summer so it's taking me a year to save up all the money. But I rather save a small amount for about a year than pay for the trip all at once and give out a huge amount at once..

I'm at my internship right now working on my school assignment. It's pretty interesting. I'm researching the frequent illness within the organization. The reasons for frequent illness and how to bring it down.

Greece, Bali, wow! Amazing places!!
Oh, I'm jealous now. You're all making summer plans and it's winter for me. I have classes until the beginning of June, then I'll finally have a break. Usually I don't make plans for winter, but this year is gonna be interesting. My sister is married to a German guy, and his mother is coming to Brazil for the first time. She's staying with us, so we're excited to meet her.

wow it sounds like people are going to very exotic places this summer I have heard Bali is beautiful and I have been to Greece and loved it. My summer Europe trip is still in planning we are starting to book flights and train tickets annd sort out hostels to stay at it's all very exciting

Girls, I need help. My mum has gone Royal Wedding crazy, I am not to fussed over the wedding but my mum has decided she is waking me and my sister up at 8am when the wedding starts to be shown on TV and we are having an English Breakfast with tea in china cups and scones with Jam and cream. Then she has bought champange and orange juice for us to drink during the cermony.

In the paper today they have shown people who have been camping outside Westminster Abbey for 3 days to get to the front so they can see William and Kate go past... queuing for 3 days to see the couple go past them for a minute seems crazy to me or am I just being a Royal Wedding Scrooge?

Vanessa - It's so odd the whole hemisphere thing! Aww, have fun meeting your sister's mother in law! You should tell us how much of an cultural adjustment Brazil is compared to Germany.

Jo - Oh dear Lord! Oy, go ahead & label me a Royal Wedding Scrooge cuz I could care less about that stuff! Don't mean to be harsh or disrespectful to those who are interested, and I respect the tradition of it all, but I'll be glad when it's all over that's for sure! Bah humbug.
