I went out partying in my uni city last night. We had fun! I feel like half of my major was there cause we have the day off from school today.
I slept at a friend's and now Im lying in bed waiting for her to wake up lol. Thank god for wireless internet and ipods.

I'm fed up of being in my house with no job and applying for things online so I'm up, my hair's done (even though I HATE it short ) and I'm going out trawling the streets in town looking for work (in the non hooker sense. SOMEone must want to employ me! I'm honestly very good!

I can't find my phone charger and according to my sister, people are getting mad thinking that I've died or fallen into a pit of unemployed depression because I haven't replied. I'll just tell them to get the hell on Facebook! Tee hee!

Oh well, have a good one peeps!

Good luck, Cee. Lots of my friends are looking for a job now. I wanted to change job but it´s discouraging after hearing their struggles. My mom told me today that she will maybe loose job soon,too. apparently they want to close the fire department in my town. go figure. And we had a big lay off at work last month, too, 25 people.When I hear all these things, I´m glad I have some job, even if I don´t like it that much. It´s such a weird time period now.

When I hear all these things, I´m glad I have some job, even if I don´t like it that much. It´s such a weird time period now.

I agree. It's a really weird time for jobs and economy so I guess you're smart in keeping the job you have... but best wishes for you to find something you love soon!

Thanks girls I got a few leads today but like you said, the economy is so tough right now that it's hard. I'm really going to take anything I can get to get some sort of income at the moment

Some of you have met me before so it won't surprise you to know that I went in a few places then bumped into my aunt who had gotten out of Jury Duty early - we went to my sister's bar and had cocktails Good Times! Then as I was just about to go home my brother called to ask if I wanted to go out for dinner so we went to this really nice bar and they had a pet German Shepherd called Maeve who took a liking to us and joined us for dinner

It was a nice day - I've pretty much been in on my own all week applying for jobs online - I forgot that I like to have people to randomly chat to so I got my fill of that today!

I hope you feel better Val That really sucks. And yeah, I cut my hair, it's just above my shoulders but I don't always straighten it so it curls up and looks like Haddie's and it looks cuter on her than it does me so I don't like it I miss having loooong hair!

I hope that nothing bad happens with your mum's job Katka and closing the firs station doesn't sound too safe! lol! Is there another one close by?

well, they would keep the firemen.lol but they would fire all the service/office people and the station would be run from a different town. And my town is the main town of the county so I don´t know how they want to make the station so insignificant. And it´s sad cos the station celebrated it´s 40 years anniversary two months ago, and there were lots of events in town to celebrate it. It was always big part of the town. but apparently it was already decided.

Plus, today, our awesome goverment officially decided that all state workers will get 10% off from their salary starting the new year. and I´m in that category I wanna see how I´ll be able to pay for my apartment loan if my mom looses her job and I will earn crap.

And I´m sooo jealous of your german shepard dinner fella

Cee, I didn't see Women on the Verge. Last night I saw Love, Loss, & What I Wore; is that what you were asking about? I enjoyed it, thanks. Another Broadway show I saw recently was The Pee-Wee Herman show. It was actually really good.

Katka, I'm sorry about your mom's job and your pay cut. That really sucks. The economy is supposed to be getting better, but it still seems like things are really tough for a lot of people right now.

Katka, oh geez, that sucks I'm so sorry! I really hope they won't fire your mom. And can they just cut off 10% of your salary? In Holland they can't just decide that and do something like that. That sucks big time!! Just keep your eyes and ears open and hopefully some cool job will come your way.

My mom is still unemployed at home as well. She was fired last year and still hasn't been able to find a job. The economy still sucks these days.

On a happier note. I got a text from my mentor at my internship last night. She told me she was thankful for all the hard work I've been doing and that they were really happy with me. Always nice to hear.
