Now. Question. NYC is EXPENSIVE. So, I'm feeling the tightening of my budget. Granted, I have the money. But I'm saving for a dang car. Now... do I take a trip to LA? I won't have to pay for much besides the plane and food. But still. It's another trip. Yay or nay?

Shannon- well it depends on a lot of things. On the car you want to buy, on when you want to buy it, on whether you find a cheap flight or not, and so on.
Question NYC-related: where did you book the hotel? And how much is an average room? I don't mean the Plaza.

The car - there's actually a lot of things that go into this. Because when it comes time to buy it, I have to decide if I want to put my entire savings in to the downpayment or just do a little and keep the rest as a savings for LA. It's all very confusing.

And flights to LA are like $250. So, not bad at all

NYC - hotels are RIDICULOUS. We ended up at one that was $130 a night. And that's only because its waay uptown. So much more expensive the more midtown you go. If I had been alone, I'd just stay at a hostel or something. But my mom wants things like a private bathroom *rolls eyes*

Shannon- that's what I thought. Some people my mom knows have an apartment in Manhattan, maybe renting would be cheaper. I have to look into that.

Katka- chances that I'll go to NY sooner or later are, like, 200%. Chances of going when you're there right now are slim. My best friend will talk to her parents and let me know, we'll see. I'm not giving up. Also because it's so much cheaper than in the summer, with the 400€ saved for the flight we could pay more days in a hotel/hostel/under a bridge.
