I'm seeing The National tonight and tomorrow (in Prospect Park, so I'm hoping for no rain), and am excited that the school year is winding down.

Ooh have fun seeing The National. I've only managed to see them once so far. You should check out a band called The Twilight Sad, if you haven't heard of them. They're from Glasgow and in a similar-ish genre to The National, maybe a little more gritty. But they're great.

Work will be busy for a bit, but hopefully *cross fingers* will slow down later this summer.

I was able to re-book the Ireland trip I cancelled, but instead I'm going to Scotland in August. I adore Scotland so I can't wait to go back. Plus I'm going to North Carolina in July. Just saying that is making me sweat! Ugh, not looking forward to the heat, but I guess I'll deal with it.

I had to work on my birthday (Monday), but Sunday I had dinner with family, with strawberry shortcake for dessert. I got to see my 5-month old great niece for the second time, and talk to one of my nephews who couldn't be there, on the phone. It was a good time. Nothing too exciting, but nice.

It's hot here, too, and only getting hotter.

Yesterday was the last day of school, so I'm officially on summer vacation! I'm heading to Maryland tomorrow.

It was a bit cool and rainy here today, even though it's summer. But that's ok, I like it that way. I HATE hot weather. Luckily the Pacific Northwest doesn't get too hot very often, and when it does, it doesn't last long.

It is backwards for me so it is winter cold no rain yet it just rains here no snow like ever yeah I've seen it before.
