lol, just wanted to ask if a new thread is necessary. But we can post on anything, right :)

So, thanks for the new thread.

Like your find, Ele.

LG - Life's Good 09-08-2009 03:04 PM

Thanks! It's weird to have a new thread.

lancer1993 09-08-2009 03:07 PM

Thanks, can't get enough of Lauren/Adelaide in those short shorts (or is that a skirt?) :)

I only just watched some of the Adelaide parts the other night, they me pouting that they may never be an official DVD, we can live in hope. With changing media never say never :)

perrygraham 09-08-2009 03:08 PM

I know, a new thread for a subject that is long gone is kinda weird.

lancer1993 09-08-2009 03:13 PM

We still have GG thread and that ended long ago.

Danke 09-08-2009 03:14 PM

Im glad to see new thread. GaD should live on and on at least here. I´m sure we´ll be able to fill it with memories at some point.

I'm happy there's a new G&D thread! I love the pic of the video playing in front of Macy's, it looks like it would have been fun to see . . . Lauren out there for the masses. :)

Yesterday I watched G&D for the first time in a long time - it was absolutely lovely and I always forget how much I love the dancing. I was smiling so much when Adelaide says, "Time certainly does fly!!!". Lauren does it so well and it's kind of funny she didn't get to say that line in the last show because she was cut off.

Hahah, I saw the new thread and I was like, "Wait. What?" Hahaha.

But the memories should definitely live on here!

Especially since it was so important to Lauren and meant so much to her. :)

Michele, what do you mean when you say she was cut off?

Debbie, during the final performance the actor who plays Lt. Brannigan came in on his line a little too quickly and cut Lauren off.

She says something like, "After 14 years I can't believe I'm finally going to become Mrs. Nathan Detroit . . . " after which she is supposed to say ". . . time certainly does fly!". But Brannigan started talking after the Mrs. Nathan Detroit part.

It wasn't a big deal, just noticeable to all of us crazies who have it memorized! ;) Anyone watching it for the first time wouldn't have known the difference.

I think this line is funny and cute but people didn´t laugh everytime. I guess they didn´t give the audience enough time to process it.

Tftnt. :) Memories, indeed. :)

-Denise- 09-09-2009 07:21 AM

Aww thanks for the new thread. :D Great memories indeed. :sigh:

I was thinking about the first time we saw Guys and Dolls. Leaning forward the whole show, so we wouldn't miss a thing. :D
