I thought the ep was nicely balanced and a nice return for the show.

Liked how they dealt with Amber and her talk with Haddie and the flash back to the boy they fought over (so many years ago) I do think she will keep it and loved the stunned look of Sarah's face at the end.

So Julia is sleeping with another guy, so but she is doing more to keep away from Joel than Joel ever did. As far as we know he has not been with any one else during the separation, or before it.

Baby Aide is walking...

Like how Sarah took Zeek to Vegas for his birthday, didn't like how Adam didn't seem to trust her and wanted to talk to the doctor the when there with Crosby. Why didn't they take Camille? I did like how they decided to stay, yes this family is sick LOL.

And lastly the rush to get Chambers Academy finished for the new year, I guess Joel was to busy to take on the construction job at first but then decided to help? Like how Christina talked to Max while watching the paint dry and in the end he decided to give it a go.

Thats about it for now, here is a quick music list thanks to Shazam

Julia and new BF - Blue Moon by Beck
Sarah/Zeek in Vegas - Hands are Clever by Alex Clare
Julia’s office with BF - Sounds like Somewhere by Lily & Madeleine
Chambers Academy opens - Pumpin Blood by NONONO

Might be more, let us know...

Truly enjoyed this final season premiere...
except for the wasted time on Hank and his ex.
Instead of wasting time and money on a guest star ex, they should only show Hank telling Sarah what's going on between him and Sandy, imo.

But that lead directly to Hank and Sarah talking.

The one thing I keep thinking is how much more natural this situation feels, when compared to the crap that went down the Lorelai in a similar situation with Luke's ex and kid. Sorry it had to be said.

I don't mind them taking a few minutes on Sandy when it lean to how this affects Sarah and her relationship with Hank and Ruby.

The episodes just go by so quickly! I don't want to wait another week!

I did love this ep. It was a great start to the season. Mae is just such a great actress, i really felt everything she was feeling. It made me feel anxious about what she was going to do and say to Sarah.

Can anyone work out how much of a time jump they did? I caught the doctor saying Amber is nearly 3 months (if i heard correctly) and then I heard Adam say Kristina has been working on the school for 8 months.

I like Hank and Sarah together. I just wish that Sandy wasn't getting such a big part this season. I really just want this season to focus Lauren and Mae haha.

I think this season is going to be great!!

I'd say 3 months since the last season, remember they were working on the school last season for some time to get it legal and stuff.

I'm sure we'll get more of Sarah and Amber next week.

Anyone know where a full copy of the pic at the top of the thread is from, it looks new to me.

I thought the season premiere was brilliant! So glad to have the Bravermans back. Makes me realise, the void this show is going to leave, once it finishes!

That said, I was slightly overwhelmed because so much happened in such a short time. One minute, our SWEET Julia is getting all hot and sweaty with some go worker (who calls her Miss Braverman, that made me really sad) Next, Joel is kissing her! What? Sarah and Zeek have this great father daughter scene in Vegas, next they're in a hospital. Then Adam and Crosby show up (because apparently Sarah cannot be trusted with her father's care). Zeeks gone awol. Next thing you know, they're all happily playing in the casino! While Julia and her Mom are worried sick!

and then there was Amber......I thought Mae did a beautiful job in this episode, I loved the scene between her and Haddie, especially on the football field, when they were talking about Alex and Steve. That made me tear up a little! And Sarah face when Amber told her about the baby. Not sure whether Sarah is happy about this news?

and last, Max showing up at the school. That was teary moment! One thing Kristina has always done well, is cry!

My only issue with the episode is Hank (surprise, surprise!!) I just thought there was too much of him and Sandy, considering this is the finale season. I am all for JK, blended family storyline, as long as it involves Sarah, in the scene.

OMG, the promo for the rest of the season, so many mixed motions going on there!

Totaly agree with you.. (surprise surpise..)
I can deal with Hank/Sarah. but spending screen time on hanks ex/daughter is a waste. They should spend time on Hank/sarah working together at the studio instead. that would be better.

Overall I liked the episode.

It`s clear that they are going "punish" Joel for not starting to fight for Julia sooner. she is trying to move on and he is trying to fight his way back to her. I see it in Julias eyes.. she wants too.. welcome Joel back.. but she is not there yet.

I loved the episode, it seemed to set up the major storylines that each individual family will probably focus on this season (except for Crosby), and then the Zeek storyline that will affect everyone. Such a good mixture of drama and emotion with some great one liners thrown in there. Love this show so much.

Baby Aida walking was sooo cute!

The Amber/Haddie bonding scenes were amazing. Loved them. These girls have grown up so much since the 1st season.

Zeek and Sarah bonding in Vegas was so sweet to watch, they had so much fun together. So scary when he collapsed. Craig T. Nelson was awesome in this ep. It was disappointing that no one trusted Sarah to handle the doctor stuff, even her own mom.

Kristina/Max scenes are some of the most tear-jerking for me. So sweet when he showed up to the school - Monica Potter's facial expressions say so much.

The Julia and Joel situation had me yelling at the screen the most. Sigh. I'm just gonna hope for the best.

Really looking forward to the Sarah/Amber chat next week. Was hoping we'd get more of them last night but there was already so much going on.

The previews - omg. So emotional!! Adam crying? I couldn't handle it. Waterworks.

Yes, it feels more natural. It def seems (unlike Luke) that Hank wants Sarah involved. My fear is Hank's ex (Sandy? not even sure of her name) getting in the way. When she asked if Sarah lived with him, and then was relieved that she didn't, it seemed like a sign that she's going to be kind of a stickler if Sarah gets too involved? I don't know. Blending families is tough, but I just hope that this whole season isn't a struggle with that. I want Sarah to have happiness and fun, too. She'll already have a lot to deal with in regards to Amber, so I hope it's not too overwhelmingly dramatic a season for her.

Though, Lauren does kick some dramatic acting butt, so either way... we win.

Ruby definitelly changed.

The scenes between Amber and Haddie were my favorite and I really liked the last scene between Amber and Sarah. Great reaction!

I liked this episode, less Hank and Sandy and it would have been perfect.
The Amber and Haddie scenes were probably my favourite, loved the throwback to season 1 and Steve! I used to find Haddie so annoying but i actually wish she was here for the full season now. And Mae is such a good actress she's gonna be great this season with the pregnancy stuff.
Baby Aida is literally the cutest thing
The Vegas scenes felt a bit rushed and I wish we had more of that rather than the Hank stuff but I suppose it was to set up for the rest of the season. Ruby finding Sarah's underwear was funny and awkward. But a bit weird that it would be in her room?!
Don't really have much interest in Joel or Julia.
I'm excited to see what Sarah has to say about the pregnancy!!

I kinda felt the same way. I really liked the episode, but I also felt like they really tried to pack as much as possible in, possibly because they have a shortened season to plan.
Zeek frustrated me to no end in the hospital, but I also didn't like Adam's "I don't trust Sarah" scene. She's grown a lot since season 1 and she definitely can be responsible.
I didn't care about Hank's story, I like Betsy Brandt but we have enough stories to keep track of without any intruders.
Amber and Haddie's moment was very sweet, as was Max showing up at school. That made me tear up.
Not sure how I feel about Julia/Joel. I obviously want them back together. I didn't like her with the other guy, even though she seemed happy.

Bring on next episode! I'll be over the Atlantic, but will watch as soon as I can!

Ditto! I felt bad for Sarah, when he said that, and even Camille wanted Adam on the case.

Poor Sarah!
