Thanks for the hugs about conferences girls! As long as John Hindman isn't one of my parents, I think it'll be okay. Although, I'm not crazy like the teacher in the movie (she was a bit loopy) so I don't think that whole scenario would happen anyway.

so, i went to my boyfriends house for the weekend, and he and his friends & family asked/invited me to go on their annual trip. next summer they are going on a cruise, and they have no clue where they wanna go. Anyone have any ideas i can throw out to them. they were thinking Greece, Australia and some other places, but i was just curious to what everyone else thought

i'm very excited about this, i really haven't been outside of the US, so this is a big deal to me!

Agie, that's exciting! Hmmm, it all sounds great. The only thing to keep in mind . . . it is winter in Australia during our summer. It is very mild (only Tasmania gets any decent snow), but it's still not "summer-like" at all since it's halfway around the world. I was there this past summer and it's a fun and lovely country - the plane ride is pretty insane though. And I LOVE planes, but I was miserable during the journey.

Greece sounds amazing to me - a cruise in the Mediterranean! Fun.

yeah i was really into the idea of Greece too. but there so many places to go, i didn't wanna just think "oh GREECE!!!" when theres other nice places too to consider!

and it being winter in the summer doesn't sound to great! i hate winter! i want the sun-- and i want to get a good tan!

Agie, that's really exciting that you'll go on the cruise with them! I'm sure wherever you go you'll have a fabulous time! My grandmother thought about taking my cousin and me on a European river cruise; we were looking at this website. It might give you some ideas if you're interested in Europe.

i've never been on a cruise. Europe would be so much fun! They went to Barcolona this past summer. and they loved it!

I made it!!! I am in LA. I touched a palm.

The flights were exhausted. I flew over Craigland aka Ceeland formerly known as Scotland, GG land aka Hartford, Lauren land (Virginia), Shannon land (Texas). Houston was nice...for like 45 min lol. I literally had to run to catch my flight. There was a nice airport dude who shouted Mam to me, I was like wtf lol, I'm a Mam? He drove me to the right gate. And Karen picked me up from the airport.

Did I mention the palms?

my boss just gave me his grandson iPod and asked me to put some things in it. Can I sync it with my iTunes without deleting his songs?

Hmmm, from my personnal experiences, i'll say that there's a good chance that it's going to erase his songs. I can ask Kirk if you want, he usually knows that

yeah, my personnal experience is the same but I think Claire once tried to tell me how it can be done, or maybe I just understood wrong.lol

You need to set his iPod to 'manual.' But if it's already set to synch automatically, I think it needs to be changed on the 'base' computer (the one he regularly uses with that iPod) before you plug it into yours. Otherwise, when you plug it into yours, it'll just start synching automatically, and that will erase the songs on there. He can change it to manual by going to 'Preferences' when the iPod is plugged into his computer. It may already be set to 'manual' (mine always is), but you'd have to ask him to find out.
