GG Episode Discussion - 5.17 - Pulp Fiction (March 8th)

Episode 5.17 - Pulp Friction
Air date: 8 Mar 2005

Tuesday, Mar 8 - (8:00 - 9:00 pm ET)
"“Pulp Friction”" (TV-PG, S) (HDTV)
MOTHERS AND MOTORHOMES –— Rory (Alexis Bledel) regrets her agreement with Logan (Matt Czuchry) that they can date other people after she sees him out on the town with another girl. Later, at a party where everyone dresses as a character from a Quentin Tarantino film, Rory shows up with Logan’s friend Robert (guest star Nick Holmes), forcing Logan to admit his jealousy. Meanwhile, now that Lorelai and Luke are happily reunited, Emily can’t understand why Lorelai still refuses to show up at Friday night dinner. Emily’s second visit to the diner to speak to Luke leads to a bitter mother/daughter confrontation. Finally, Michel (Yanic Truesdale) appears on “The Price is Right” and wins a motor home. Richard Herrmann, Melissa McCarthy and Sean Gunn also star. The episode was written by James Berg & Stan Zimmerman and directed by Michael Zinberg

Pulp Fiction Discussion

I loved tonights eppy. I ask ya can Luke and Lorelai get any cuter they where back to acting like the old married couple I love it. OMG Kirk was funny I laugh my butt off espicaly when he ended up at lorelai's naked in Luke's boat lol. Now I did think she was alittle harsh to Michele I am glad that she appoligized to him. I think Logan got exactly when he deserves. He could have told Rory abotu the girl but he didn't and he kissed the other girl right infron of her and her mom. I wanted to stone him just like Lorelai. If I was michele I would have kept the motor home because they rock. Luke was so cute when Emily came in yelling at him and he hit speed dial Lorelai 911 lol. The Fight was great about time she really told Emily off. But I do hope they make up soon I feel bad for the both of them right now.

All the L&L scenes in it were wonderful - I didn't have a prob with the lack of kissing as someone said - I personally loved that kitchen scene - showed the new place they are in their relationship - the paternal/maternal side - hopefully a big foreshadowment for the future *g*

Luke in leather jacket = Scott *thud*

Also Michel on Price is Right *lol* and botox - that's 2 references now *g*

Loved the shout-out to the Coffee Bean - because it was mentioned in one of the media tidbits a while back that Lauren was sighted at the CB.

Anytime I see an ep written by Berg and Zimmerman I know it's going to have something to do with Kirk in it - they were the ones to blame in NMIP with him in the hotdog suit (quoting LG at Seminar on Sean Gunn's reaction to the scene direction "finally")

Again Michael Zinberg impressed me with his directing.

Someone give this show an acting Emmy - or at least a nom - for a non-Sweeps ep that was supposed to originally air in April, I have to say WB's move to air it before the hiatus was a smart one - causes the Lorelai/Emily confrontation to be felt at full force - also interesting that the ep had no previously on it.

Also we know Lauren had a cold when filming it and someone posted on ff.com that she looked ghostly white after the Lorelai/Emily confrontation - so true, we can attribute that largely to her cold - one thing's for sure though even when she's sick as a dog she still nails her performance.

^exactly what i said when that came on.

I loved the part where Lorelai was showing Luke how to work his phone. I thought it was funny when she was like "do you want me to make it vibrate for you, too?" or something like that.

Also, I liked when Lorelai just told Emily to back off and she screamed "shut up." but mandypandy i agree with you about them making up.
