OP is all updated (and my brain is a mess now lol)
As for Ellen, I found it absolutely cute, how certain Lauren sounded when she said "Fred doesn't think so". And I'm certain Lauren knew that Peter talk was coming, every talk show has pre meetings where they talk about what will be discussed, Ellen maybe talked about it way more than Lauren thought but I don't think she acted embarrassed at all. Maybe a bit flustered. __________________

I would definitely say she looked a bit embarrassed when Fred was brought up, only because she reacted the same way that i do when I'm asked a question about the guy I'm dating.

I feel like it brings more attention to the relationship when she jokes about 'dating her brother' instead of just answering with a normal 'he's great' or what ever people normally say.

Lauren's kind of lucky she has the excuse of "he's my brother/don't want to freak the people out" because we all know she wouldn't want to talk much about her personal life anyway. Makes me wonder if she would be more open about it if Parenthood was no longer on the air though.
