It’s early and I’ve only seen the episode once, so these are just my early highlights
Luke and Lorelai’s bedtime ritual
Lorelai and Kirk in the car
The funeral, Emily & Lorelai in the kitchen
Luke giving fake wi-fi passwords
Hep Alien!
Emily in jeans.
Lorelai is going to therapy with her mother!

I'm so overwhelmed right now, with all these feelings, that I will discuss this episode more, with time.

All I can say for now, is how much I LOVED it. It was a PERFECT 90 minutes to welcome the show back. Full of laughter and tears (and not just the sad kind) Any negative feelings, I had about the revival; especially, would it live up, to the original series? Have been wiped away. From start to finish, I was an emotional wreck. And by the end, when they played Dolly Parton, that was it, the flood gates opened! It was just everything, I hoped it would be, and SO much more!

(yes, I know, I cried to a Dolly Parton song! Which BTW, is going on my playlist)

The one thing, I will say is, where did Lorelai get those pink Pajamas? I think I've fallen in love, and need them in my life! Someone find this out for me.

I've also watched Spring, so quick shower and back for Summer and Fall.

I loved it! Cried and laughed throughout. I think one of my favourite scenes was Lorelai and Emily in the kitchen at Richard's funeral. Amazing acting by both Lauren and Kelly. Made me sad seeing Lorelai upset, before when she would argue with Emily she was just angry/shouting so to see her cry made me emotional

Not sure about Rory's storyline, especially sleeping with Logan. I was never his biggest fan anyway.

I watched all the episodes at once so they are all mixed together and I don´t really remember what story was in which episode.

All in all, I started to cry right at the beginning when they repeated the best quotes from the original serie and I was crying pretty much since......like everytime a major character appeared for the first time

The fight between Lorelai and Emily was so good and felt really like season 1 fight which is a big compliment. They didnt forget how to go at it, did they?

I´m not sure about Rory´s storyline but it was funny how everyone kept forgetting her boyfriend, poor guy. Even after those year, Rory is still not that likable .lol Her sleeping around with Logan was surprising.

Are we really supposed to believe that JJ never really discussed having a baby together? All I kept thinking were all the great fanfictions I read about them starting family, kidna crushing.lol but boy, did I miss Paris!

It was good to see Jason Stiles at the funeral.

I wondered the same thing, and then I saw this article, so you're not alone in this question! A lot of money.
This is roughly how much money Rory spent flying back and forth to London during "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life"

Lauren definitely killed it, as usual. the funeral, "i just lost my father", dang. Those emotions were damn real, I honestly wish we got way less of that rory story line haha, but i think i always felt that way in the original series as well. As for affording the tickets, it seemed to me that Logan probably paid for most of that :/

Plus she was working on that woman's book, so maybe she paid for some of it as well.

Wasn't she supposed to have a trust fund kick in when she turned 26 or something (from Trix)?

I do too. I think it was random to bring up if they were never going to give us closure on it (if you get what I mean).

Amy said this about the letter:
Quote:
TVLINE | Who sent Emily that terrible, nasty letter?
It wasn’t Lorelai.

TVLINE | That’s a pretty big mystery you left hanging in the air.
It’s a big mystery, but you’ve seen Emily in action. There are a lot of people who could’ve sent Emily Gilmore a nasty letter. It could’ve been an ex-employee. It could be a neighbor. It could be a disgruntled DAR reject. But it was not Lorelai. That’s what’s so great about family. You don’t resolve anything. And even if Lorelai tried to prove it wasn’t her by using handwriting samples, Emily is never not going to believe that Lorelai did not send that to her — no matter what. That’s family.
This makes me think we might never find out. It's not about who sent it, it's about Emily believing it was Lorelai. I also want to know who sent it, but I just don't think we'll ever get an answer.
