Gilmore Girls Season 5 Episode Thread: Say Goodbye to Daisy Miller Discussion
Picking up on the same night as last season's finale, Lorelai is very upset that Rory has lost her virginity to her married ex-boyfriend Dean. Luke is happy and relieved to learn that Lorelai wants to pursue their new romantic relationship. Meanwhile, after announcing that she and Richard are officially separated, Emily decides to leave immediately for Paris. Realizing that Dean's marriage may not be over after all, Rory agrees to spend the summer in Europe with Emily.

Great Episode! I loved it so much! One of the best season premieres! Lauren did an excellent job in this episode as a mother and as Luke's "Girlfriend"! I can't wait for next weeks episode!

Lauren never ceases to amaze me. She can melt me, make me laugh, you name it. The range, the capability... great performance tonight, with Luke, Rory, Sookie, Emily, you name it, she can do it.

i really loved the ep.. Lauren was great in it.. She looked great and seh performed great.. i also liked the stuff between her and scott.. They *do* have chemistry.. i couldve melt down when they had the telephone conversation..
it also was new for me to see Lauren and Alexis .. well Rory and Lorelai have a real fight.. about something serious.. but they both acted great .. i like laurens eyes when she is angry __________________

I've always noticed that .. the girl can't hug or do any kind of intimate scene.
I love Lauren in this ep. Her facial expressions, mannerisms.. she carried this whole ep. __________________

That was the all-time worst Rory hug, and there have been many. Couldn't the director have asked her to stand up slightly and at least try to appear not dead or limp.
Poor Lorelai. She had to caress Kirk's head and put up with Rory's digressive antics all in one episode. Thank God for the phone calls, giddy Sookie, snarky Michel, skirtless Emily, etc. Edited to tinker with a few things. __________________

i loved skirtless emily ..it was just so funny..
and abut the hug thing.. i agree .. i mean ..what the hell was that? maybe she needs a list which describes how she has to hug people anyway Lauren was great.. her expressions were great.. __________________
