Ele - I finally got to watch it and I LOVED it!!! You did an amazing job. Somehow, in all the clips you chose, Lauren looks especially beautiful. The camera really does love that girl's face! It was truly lovely - and I'm a huge fan of the ending!

Debbie - I don´t know what plans Amy had with Jason, I only know that it was studio who forced Amy to get LL together at the end of season 4. she would maybe play the Jason card little longer. who knows.

Noooo, I'd have died if I had had to wait any longer.

I think LL in s5 were perfect. It's later things got screwed up. But IMO the timing was perfect, he had been there for her, she was in the "Luke can waltz!" period.

All was good.

It was perfect timing indeed! Because of the reason Val just posted. I just love the end of season 4. Those episodes when they started to 'hook-up' are my favorite season 4 episodes. And of course season 5 was perfect as well

Minus the break-up of course.. Although, I do love how they got back together. And also that scene where Kirk sings 'Do you love me' was very well put together. I love how they look at each other during that song..

My fave episodes are the s4 trilogy at the end. I mean, seriosuly, the dance in 4x21...

I rewatched it lately with my mom and she noticed the great job Lauren does with Lorelai's expressions and mimics. Embarassed at first, and then slowly moving closer to Luke.

Aw.

I loved even the breakup. I mean, not the fact itself, especially not the presence of Deadbeat, but the 3 episodes afterwards, they showed how much they loved each other, how much they cared. And the "Do you love me?" is one of my fave moments. And of course the 5x16 ending.

I agree with y'all. The end of season 4 and the majority of season 5 are my absolute favorite GG episodes. The show seriously hit an amazing stride altogether, and L/L being together made it all the better. I think it was definitely time for them to hook up.

On one of The View interviews Lauren said that even four years was waaaaaaaay too long and they should have gotten together sooner.

The dance was just a great scene. It's one of my ultime favorite Luke and Lorelai scenes. It's perfection

That's what I meant. You can just see there how much they love each other and how much they miss each other..

Michelle, I loved that Lauren said that. I mean waiting for 4 years was a long time, but if I look back on it, I think it was the perfect timing for them to get together.

OK - I can hardly read this thread cos my GG opinions are different from the majority

It makes me crazy! But - the dance?! I agree it's amazing in terms of the acting from both of them but when they do the wide shot it kills it for me!! Their feet are just shuffling and they step on each others' feet and it looks so awkward! I know that it's not their fault and they need to stay on their mark or whatever but it's one thing that ALWAYS bugs me when I watch that scene as it's so beautifully constructed otherwise

and then later on the whole "Luke can waltz" thing bugged me cos we didn't see him waltzing!!!

Season 5 L&L I did enjoy - especially the "I'm all in" date and I LOVED the break-up at the wedding and the whole "The Way we Were" voicemail - IMO one of Lauren's best scenes (I cry like a baby everytime!) also when they make up again to "The Man who got away"

The Fiddler on the Roof tie in was lovely as well

In regard to season seven, I don't mind it. For sure it's not the best but there are great moments in it and I think the story with Christopher is one that needed to be told

remember that as much as people loved Luke & Lorelai there were those who loved Chris and this gave them their moment. I for one feel that Chris is a much more "real" character than Luke - I know people like Chris and that character is one of the things that made me really relate to the show. I know that sounds ridiculous but it is quite close to my heart - the Chris character really spoke to me more than most

ETA: Cee- you're obviously free to write your opinions, and if you like Deadbeat *cough* I mean, Chris, it can be good grounds for discussions- I love discussions in the threads, so much more than games threads and stuff like that.
I can say that I didn't hate Chris in s2 when he and Lorelai danced at Miss Patty's. They were kinda cute. Of course he had to screw it all up a minute later though.

I agree, how they hooked up at the end of S4 was perfect. And I love S5 even with the break-up, too. It just showed how much they loved each other, I thought it made their relationship stronger. Lauren did a great job portraying how miserable Lorelai was.

Although I guess I could have been fine with LL wait for another season with the hook up, if it had been guaranteed that there would be no LLC love triangle or long lost daughters in their future.

I didn't mind him at first either. I wished for him to change though and then they could be a normal family. But he didn't.
