I remember that when I was watching the scene where Lorelai watches Rory sleep for a first time my friend called me. I was crying like crazy and I answered the call and my friend asked what´s wrong with me so I told her and she told me I was crazy. pout.lol.
I have never cried that much in a period of one hour in my life. I took a picture of my face after it because my eye make-up had turned my face almost entirely black. My mum and dad thought something had happened, and then My friend came over that night and i just couldn't concentrate, she kept having to repeat things because i was in a state of grieving.
I still cry when i watch it now. I won't ever not cry at it.

As for the way the show ended, i was happy with the ending considering they didn't know it would be the finale when shooting, however i do feel as though so much more could have been done, especially for me with the relationship between Emily and Lorelai, and definately with Luke and Lorelai. But i still really do like the way it ended, especially with Rory/Lorelai. *Tear*

Yes, the one aspect of the GG final where I was disappointed is with the Lorelai/Emily relationship. I wish that they could have fleshed that out much more. Even with Lorelai/Richard, at least there was a few sentences in the last episode that fleshed their relationship out a little more. But with Lorelai/Emily nothing.

moving the talk from OT thread

This is very much how I felt as it was happening. I kept waiting and waiting thinking some plot line was going to quickly twist and fix it all. As the spoilers came in, it became apparent they were going to leave it for too long (such as the very last second for java junkie fans!).

I avoided the second half of season 6 on dvd and almost didn't buy season 7 on dvd for a long time. Then one day I sat down and re-lived it all. I was very surprised - there was so many lines, gestures, nuances (mostly by Lauren) that I had missed the first time because I was so wrapped up in being upset by the plot. I have watched them many times since then, and like I said, it is all about Lauren for me now.
Yeah, I rewatched season 7 once but I still don't get the old feeling I get when I watch the first 4 seasons. I'm even not a big fan of season 5, I know I'm the only one with that opinion lol. But besides the Luke and Lorelai storyline which wasn't the most important thing for me as you may know there were a lot of boring episodes centred around zzzzzzzzzzz.... I'm sorry, one second sleep, Rory and Logan especially toward's the end. Season 2 is the best.

Buuut the very best moment of the show IMO is the hole talk in 6.02.

You are not alone, Ele. I didn't love season 5 either. I loved the Luke/Lorelai stuff, but I personally am not a fan of Logan. I thought Rory was acting like an @ss when she was with him. As I believe I have said in this thread before, Rory disrespected and turned her back on her mother when she was with Logan and I hated that. For me what I loved about the show, and what I started watching the show for was the Rory/Lorelai relationship, and I do understand that in order to keep a show going there has to be angst and turmiol, but the end of season 5 and begining of season 6 the writers went too far with their relationship. They didn't stay trure to their relationship IMO. My favorite season was 1 and/or 2.

LORELAI BREAKS LUKE'S HEART ON "GILMORE GIRLS" It was the moment we'd all been waiting for (and believe us, we "Gilmore Girls" fans were rabid enough to wait a long, long time): Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) were finally together. But Luke was toying with her — and us. He kept delaying their wedding. Still, Lorelai might have overreacted to his last postponement just a touch. Sleeping with your ex in retaliation is taking it too far, right? Anyway the wedding was off, the series was cut short, and we never got to live out our fantasy of walking down the aisle with Lorelai and Luke. We're not sure who was more broken-hearted: Lorelai, Luke, or the fans.

I saw that this morning also, Ele. Like I said while I would have liked to see more with Luke and Lorelai such as a wedding, or even just them telling the "town" that they were back together (because lets face it the town was pulling for them to get back together) I am not upset with the ending. At least we did get a kiss and know that they were back together.

there´s another info about the GG book.

Quote:
The more I learn about what went into the making of Gilmore Girls, the more I realize what a perfect storm of talent was involved in this program’s creation.

Yesterday afternoon I had the great pleasure to speak with Patty Malcolm, who not only served as Lauren Graham’s stand-in for more than 5 years, but also appeared on camera several times, too.

Like many people, I was woefully ignorant about what stand-ins do on set, let alone on the set of Gilmore Girls. I don’t think it will surprise anyone to learn that Patty had more to do than anyone in the audience ever realized. Just one example: she had to learn huge chunks of the dialogue that Lauren delivered!

Even though it says 2007, that picture wasn't from the wrap party in 2007, it was from either the Christmas party or the Cocktail Party in 2005. Can't remember which one now, since I'm on my phone, but definitely one of the two forementioned.
