I like watching it in order also. I watch it daily (or at least try to) on ABC Family. Right now they are in season 4, the Jason episodes. "Incredible Shrinking Lorelais" is coming up. I love that episode, great L/L moment. I agree with you on the season finale. It breaks my heart watching Lorelai and Rory have to say goodbye. I know they want to have Rory rough it a little, but I still wish she had gotten that fellowship thing she wanted at the NY Times.

You know I have to say that I think that I am in the minority with the series final. I liked how it ended and I didn't mind the ending. Yes, I would have liked to see more of Luke and Lorelai...like a wedding or something, but at least we know that Luke and Lorelai did get back together in the end and were in love.

With regards to Rory, I am glad that they made Rory "rough" it. When college students graduate, reality is that they usually have to take "crap" jobs, or any job just to start somewhere and get their foot in the door. Many graduates get denied jobs, interships and fellow ship programs, sp Rory not getting the NY Times job IMO was realistic. I thought it was good that they had Rory start at the bottom (so to speak).

Moving onto Lorelai and Rory saying good bye that does break my heart. I love the scene where Lorelai is ironing and Rory asks her why she doesn't care that she is leaving and Lorelai says that she will fall apart. It is so sad. Then I also love when Rory tells Lorelai that she gave her everything she needs. So sweet. But I really did like the ending with Lorelai and Rory sitting in Luke's, with Luke in the background cooking and the two of them talking. That is the way the pilot ended so I thought that it was fitting that the series final ended that way. IMO it showed that no matter how far apart Rory and Lorelai were they would always find their way back to one another, be there for one another and talk everything out.

Totaly agree with you. I`ve been thinking the same thing.

I think it was a shame we never got to see a Loreai and Luke wedding. but the most important thing is that they got back together and that we left them at a happy place. I wonder if things had been done differently if they knew that the season 7 finale actually was going to be the last episode?? from what I know they didn`t know that when they taped it right?

You are correct. When they filmed the last episode they had a feeling that the show might be canceled, so they filmed it in a way that if it was the last episode it could end and have a conclusion. They didn't get the call about GG being canceled until after they filmed the final episode.

Deana, I also agree with you about the finale. It had a lot of great elements that are often overlooked. As a Lauren fan, I think she does a completely amazing job in so many scenes . . . but especially when she is looking at Rory sleeping and silently crying. It is sad that some great performances of season 7 are missed because people were so caught up in the plot. Lauren has many fantastic moments that I like watching over and over again.

LG Stargirl, I forgot about the scene wheren Lorelai is looking at Rory while sleeping. That scene was very sad and you are so right, Lauren did a wonderful job. In fact, I believe that s7 Lauren did some of her best workout of all the years on GG. Due to the storylines and plots Lauren would go from comedy to dramatic scenes in seconds. It was amazing.

I remember that when I was watching the scene where Lorelai watches Rory sleep for a first time my friend called me. I was crying like crazy and I answered the call and my friend asked what´s wrong with me so I told her and she told me I was crazy. pout.lol.

Oh, I'm shocked. Nothing is every crazy when it comes to Lauren and/or GG. LOL

Katka - don't feel bad! I practically couldn't speak to anyone the day before the finale, the day of the finale, and the day after because I was so upset by the whole thing.

Good times.
