The CW is not giving up on the show but "Some of the cast" don't want to come back. (I don't know if this means more than one or if AB and LG returning are tied together leading to the SOME part.)

Bon Voyage - Lorelai again sees what a wonderful man Luke has been for her and Rory when he plans the surprise party, even after how she treated him over the last year.

IMO "some of the cast" means that Alexis doesn't want to come back to the show and Lauren is not going to do it without her. But I must say I'm really confused, because everyday we get another different peice of information about this negotiation and I don't know how should I take them since every source says something else. Where's the truth?

I agree you really don't know what sources to believe. In one day we can read at least 5 different spoilers about season 8 and they never the same. We won't know until the network announces it.
