| Fan Forum's Finest   | GG Episode Discussion 6.19 - I Get A Sidekick Out of You (Apr. 18th) Episode 6.19 - I Get A Sidekick Out of You Air Date: 18 April 2006 Writer: Amy Sherman-Palladino Director: Amy Sherman-Palladino From KTLA: Lane's and Zach's bachelorette & bachelor parties go awry, so the two groups end up together for a makeshift party in a vacant parking lot. Mrs. Kim informs Lorelai that she cannot attend Lane's wedding without an escort. Since Luke is still out of town, Lorelai invites Christopher to be her date. Everyone attends two wedding ceremonies – one Buddhist and one Seventh Day Adventist – followed by a wild wedding reception in the town square. From TV Guide: Zach and Lane's wedding day approaches, but plans for their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties fall through, so both groups have an impromptu bash in a parking lot; Luke is out of town and Mrs. Kim tells Lorelai she can't attend the wedding without an escort, so Lorelai asks Christopher to be her date. | I’ve just seen this episode and I loved it. This double wedding was so funny especially the Buddhist one, Lane and Zack in that outfit… I couldn’t stop laughing I almost fell off my chair. And when Mrs. Kim talked to Lane about men’s expectations „Hopefully if you lucky like me you have to do it once”.  I thought Lorelai’s drunken speech would be funny, but it was sad. But I really liked her dress. IMO it suited Lauren, and her hair was also great.__________________ -Anita | |||

| I loved this ep!! loved the double wedding as well.. And Lane and Zach are sooo sweet together! Loved Lorelais dress! The brown one, she wore at the wedding.. Btw have you guys seen how fast she ran with those heels!! I mean not really fast, but with those heels  I would have troubles just standing on those heels And her drunken speech, that was soooo sad  Lauren acted so great in that scene! And I hate to say this but I actually liked Chris in this eppie..And of course Laurens hair, just amazing!! ETA: Totally forgot, but I couldn't stop laughing with that michel scene, the dancing scene OMG he is soooooo funny! Everytime I saw him I had to laugh, just thinking back to that scene And how he pronounces Celine Dion Soooo funny God you gotta love Michel __________________ It's hard to dance with the devil on your back So shake him off I'm only going to heaven if it tastes like caramel | |||

| Just finished watching the eppy!! I loved it - the good ol' gilmore humour we know and love was back in full force!! I loved Lorelai's little sidekick bit towards the end, Lauren spoke at true Gilmore speed aswell. LG's acting was impecable through out the whole episode, but especially the drunk scene - I'm going out tomorrow night and so I'll do a tequila shot in her name Lane and Zack were sooooo adorable!! And I loved the note she wrote to Rory - that was really clever, and it so sounds like a note you write to your friends in school. I actually liked both Rory and Chris this episode, which isn't a normal occurrence for me lately. Rory was hysterical, especially in the bit where they were moving the furniture in the Kim's house. "My Grandmothers coming" "Wow, how big is she?" that CRACKED me up forever!! And like you said Denise, Michel's dancing was PRICELESS!! | |||

| Oh my God! I actually had to pause the speech four times because I just couldn't stand watching Lorelai like that. I can't believe how much I love this character and the show and how perfect Lauren's acting is. I just wish the combination of it all wouldn't give me so much pain... all in all I can only agree with everyone, GG's back, this epi was great (like the last two epis IMO). I loved the whole mama Kim and Grandma Kim storyline (I'm a total Mama Kim fan) Michel dancing? Always aewsome (remember the bachelorette party where he danced with the transverstites? Hillarious!!!) and him blowing Lorelai off for Celine Dion... Priceless!  __________________ *elle* | |||

| well i saw the epi last night, and i could not stop laughing. this is probably one of the funniest episodes of the season, minus Lorelai's drunken speech which was soo sad (how perfect was Lauren's acting there?) IMO. just the whole episode was great. Mrs. Kim was absolutley priceless. "and if you're lucky, like me, you'll only have to do it once"  omg i could not stop laughing at the part. it was just so priceless. and Lane and Zach were so cute. definitely one of my fav episodes out of season 6. | |||

| I love love loved this episode. One of my favorites this season. I loved everything about it, even Lorelai's drunken speech. I was laughing outloud, my heart was breaking, and I was in awe of Lauren as always. ASP is in my good-graces for now - she gave me a funny show, a Lorelai meltdown, and what Ive always wanted - an appearance by drunken Lorelai. Lauren owns my soul. She was perfect and look absolutely AMAAAAZING. __________________ | |||

I laughed .. and I almost cried .. and thats what I missed Mrs kim was hilarious .. seriously .. if there ever is a spin off called Mrs kims dark secret (or soemthing like that .. i just had to use a title) I will totally watch it altough It really made my heart ache when I saw Lorelai standing there.. talking about how she will never get married.. that was so sad and it made me dislike luke ... and it made me wonder if maybe now ..after the realization ..she is going to talk to luke and you know whats sad?? the first episode.. in a long while ..w hich I thought was great.. was an episode without luke!.. for me thats kinda said .. casue I have been a JJ for as long as I can think of..
