and it was so cute when luke was falling asleep on the couch and then lorelai had to get up and his hand kinda fell or something. lol it was like they were holding hands, or i don't know it made me feel all warm

Loved this ep - it's always great to get the return of Amy - see this is why we need her on the show - to get the storylines going into the right direction

Pretty much for me this episode will be remembered for Spanish Luke - hot, hot, hot dammit.

Well between Spanish Luke and Sleepy Luke (which again cemented that Luke has been staying over at Lorelai's house) it was a great ep to lead us into sweeps.

ETA: Did anyone else crack up laughing when Lorelai was running after Sookie and Jackson (who were in the golf-cart?) - I was having that LG crashing into the cart moment again

My thoughts on this episode are coming later but I'd like to say much better than last week. I was glad to see the improvement.

The Episode was ok, I liked it

first what I loved

I loved Paris calling Rory annette bening .. reffering to how she got logan to go steady with her like annette did with Warren beaty
Loved the scenes between Sookie and Luke .. just hilarious
Loved LUKE.. god this man speaks spanish .. muy caliente.. is all I can say. . god that was soooo hot
Loved Lorelais outfit and how she run after sookie in this golfcar, also loved when she called luke to help her out

but .. Luke and lorelai are a couple? there was no kiss... no quick peck on the lips .. I swear if luke didnt mention that he is in a relationship with her .. or if Jackson didnt call her lukes girlfriend .. I wouldnt even have noticed that those two are an item.

Not that I want them kissing and cuddling every 2 seconds .. and I know that Lauren was still sick the last couple of episodes.. but I want to see a few more interactions between those two

The scene on the sofa was cute.. especially when she asked him about the lampshops (Sp)

o, Luke was sooooo hot. He should speak spanish more often.

And the last scene with the two of them was really cute. But I missed a lot of cute moments between them too.
well maybe we will get more in the last two episodes?

Word! We need a passionate kiss here.. No fair we get to see so much "kissage" between Rory & Logan.

Damn it ASP, give us our kisses!

But overall, ten times better than the previous episode. I mean there's only one way to go-- up! after it hit rock botttom last week... hehz.

The opening was cute. What was Logan thinking with that music he was playing in the background? As I much as I try to depise Logan/Rory, something draws me to them. And I don't understand it, especially since I'm not a fan of Rory that much. Paris & Doyle were really cute. "I'm not a Shaman, Doyle, I don't have healing powers!" That was my favorite line out of the night, I think. I was not loving Lorelai's multi-colored shirt at the begining of the Inn scenes, poor Lauren for having to wear that. Logan and his sister, Honour (what kind of name is that?), were too cute. Honour reminded me very much of Andie McPhee from Dawson's Creek, and even the Logan/Honour relantionship was that of Andie and her gay brother, Jack. Honour even looked like Meredith Monroe, how played Andie. And the funny thing is that the woman who played Logan's mother was on Dawson's Creek, she was the teacher Pacey had an affair with the first season. I did not think Paris was pre-med for some reason, I guess the whole Chilton competivieness thing got in the way, and I thought she was Political Science. But that is something werid, that she didn't want to play doctor to Doyle when she is pre-med. I loved how Lorelai was trying to hold in your comments about Logan, as much as possible - and then she finally said something...but then SelfishRory kicked in, and Logan came to the door and she's like "Okay, Mom. I don't need you anymore because Logan came back!" UGH. Sookie & Luke were alright, but Sookie was getting on my nerves after awhile. Spanish!Luke was friggin' hot, Ladies, I tell ya. HOT, HOT, HOT!!! I think the only members of Logan's family I disliked were his grandfather (even though he was humorous) and his mother. Logan's sister and father were cool. And Rory at Logan's house? What was up with her acting like she was 5? I guess I agree in some kind of sick way, that Rory is no way prepared to be active in Logan's family but it is not like they are getting married. I loved when Paris yelled "Focus," to Doyle. They really are too cute. AUSIELLO, I spotted Ausiello, and at a distance his smurft. I wonder if it's still there? I liked Lorelai's little reference to the Amazing Race to Sookie and Jackson. Oh, Luke/Lorelai at the end were completely cute. Calling Baby, and then Regular Lancelot, Luke is the greatest invention of ASP besides Kirk. And Luke's little "saved by the bell" he was so tired. I think the most important thing was Lorelai's speech to Rory. But of course, Rory won't listen because the drift begins to start. I forgot to say: Luke's comment about marrying the cook but sticking with Lorelai was completely cute!!! ASP is a pure genius for having L/L being as cute as can be but still being their regular characters that is hard.

Overall, I think the episode was better than last week's but still not the greatest - maybe by the season finale, the episodes will be up to par again.

I'm convinced that when she began planning the season (end to start, of course), that she made a chart with a quota of "kisses allowed," "hugs," and "random affectionate moments." She then compartmentalized the season and determined that in order to stay within the allotment (and avoid being too "shmoopy" ) she had to ration the hugs, kisses, and affection. She couldn't exactly keep it equal for each episode, since so few were originally allowed, so she had to use each one sparingly and disperse accordingly.

I think it worked well. ahem...

Yep already added them to the site

The thing I've noticed is the episodes where you get nothing of L&L you get tons of Rory/Logan and vice-versa - so we need to find an ep where R&L don't have a lot of physical contact and wala

Yeah, maybe she does that. She's out to control the "sappy" factor. But that's what 90% of fans dig... Cause sex sells... Just look at Desperate Housewives. I mean we don't have to get them all "hot and heavy" but some affection here and there would be good..

Ah well, I have already mentally trained myself not to look forward to any hot scenes between L/L and just look at the earlier episodes for JJ goodness...

Anyway, is it me but does anybody sense this awkwardness between the Luke and Lorelai interaction? I mean the chemistry is all there but I just get this weird vibe. Its been there since the last episode... Ah well, 3 more episodes to look forward to! Time does fly.

thats exactly it .. I mean I can understand that Amy told that she doesnt want L/L kissing and cudddling in every scene or it will get borign after awhile. But R/L kiss in every episode .. and I dont think its boring *shrugs*

I want a few kisses .. At least one in each episode. .this isnt too much to ask, is it?

but I agree with you .. overall 10 times better than last weeks episode

---

I hated it that Rory didnt want to listen to Lorelai. I mean sure shes in love with Logan and all.. I can understand that.. but she cant just cry in front of her mother because of him.. and then call her because of him.. and *use* her mother for this.. and then he shows up and her mother is forgotten..

and Rory didnt allow Lorelai to speak.. I mean .. whats that?

I think the awkwardness was there for every character's interactions. Diorama was just really awful, and that "weird" vibe I'm going to attribute to the episode itself and the fact that everything was off -- the dialogue, direction, script, and even the actors looked uncomfortable at times. I didn't get that vibe between Luke and Lorelai in this episode, but that couch scene? It should've been longer. Less ManiacalChefSookie diatribes and more real human emotion and conversations is all I ask for. Also, all bias aside, but I'm starting to feel smothered by the Rory/Logan shenanigans and I feel like all the recent scenes we've had between L&L have been just tacked on without much thought or concern.

Suz, that was pretty nice of Rory wasn't it? "I'm going to tell you something but you can't rub my face in it or judge me at all. Nuh uh, no way." Shut up, Rory.
