GG Episode Discussion 7.12 - To Whom It May Concern (Jan. 30th)

Episode 7.12 - To Whom It May Concern
Airdate: January 30th

Writer: David Babcock
Director: Jamie Babbitt

The CW: GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS — Noticing Sookie’s (Melissa McCarthy) recent odd behavior, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) forces Jackson (Jackson Douglas) to tell her the reason. Luke (Scott Patterson) and Anna (Sherilyn Fenn) attend a hearing to decide their custody battle over April (Vanessa Marano). With help from Paris (Liza Weil), Rory (Alexis Bledel) finally makes amends with Lucy (Krysten Ritter), who tells her that she and Marty (Wayne Wilcox) have broken up. While attending Richard’s (Edward Herrmann) economics class at Yale, Rory witnesses a frightening scene. Finally, Christopher (David Sutcliffe) finds the letter Lorelai wrote for Luke’s character reference and confronts Lorelai about whether he was her second choice. Jamie Babbit directed the episode written by David Babcock

can't wait!! I am happy to see Paris again and hopefully some more towns people as well *wishing for some Kirk*

edit:

okay I was very happy with tonights episode although I found it a little slow.

So did anyone else recognize ASP name as an executive producer?

does this mean she's still a part of the show afterall?

I loved the letter! I thought it was so true and so sweet and if I was Chris I would be mad at myself bc everything Lor said in the letter was true. He missed ALOT of the things in Rory's life. And he should only have himself to blame sorry a bit angry that he's being so immature.

I think next weeks episode will be interesting and sad. I feel bad for Lorelai in some ways. She can't win. I wish Chris would stop being so immature. But I am quite happy to see that this union is almost finished!

happy 2 see Paris but still miss Kirk.

The inside scoop of BISS was nice! good plug!

ASP has always been an EP - it never changed when she left the show.

ASP has been listed as an Executive Producer for every show this season. You probably just noticed it tonight because you were looking for Lauren's credit as Producer.

I liked this episode. It's always a good one when Paris is involved. And it's about time that Christopher finally figured out, or at least acknowledged, that he's the "for now" guy.

Loved Lorelai's letter. Maybe Chris now understands what he missed by not being a part of Rory's life and what a crappy father he's been.

Besides Lorelai's "love letter" I thought the most exciting part of the whole episode was the BISS thingy with Lauren.

yeah your right I never pay attention to it but why is she still listed as an EP....does this mean she still has some say in the show?

I loved this episode. The letter was sooooo amazing!

Ohh and when Lorelai told Chris she wasn't in love with Luke, you could so see she didn't meant it

And Lorelai and Davey, just too cute

last night was good because we finally realized the characters are going to find their way back to each other.

Davey was cute but I kinda feel bad for Gigi in a way. She's going to be w/out a mom once again. poor girl.

guys, have you noticed that the scene where Lorelai and Sookie go throught the town and talk about babies is filmed in one shot? The whole scene is long 3minutes and 17seconds and it´s in one shot. it´s unbelievable, I think it´s gilmore record, or was there any one shot scene longer before? I admire Lauren, Mellisa and whole crew to be able to do it.

And I really like the eppy. I like Sookie and Lorelai´s scenes probebly the best. We didnt´ see them together in a while. And I enjoy Sookie´s pregnancy much more then Lane´s.

I would comment on more, but all that's standing out from this episode right now is the letter. It was just so much love!

Ohh, & Davey/Lorelai made me smile.

I love episodes when they just stroll through town....and them talking about babies was cute esp. since Melissa is really getting ready to have her first baby and maybe someday lauren will settle down with them too. She seems very good with Gigi and Davey.
