I think West "wants" to be on her side because she sees Glinda as her sister but I think in the end she will not choose Glinda.

I just don't see Glinda as a survivor. I don't see her having the strength to come back once she has been beaten.

West is the survivor and she will be the one to persevere and come up fighting no matter what is thrown at her.
