I wonder why.
Because apparently Karen could leave. I'm sure if Jane wanted to really leave she could.. I mean cuz she knew where the transport thing was that formed a tornado to take them to Kansas.  Then again... if she was forced to stay there, then leaving would probably do no good if the people came and got her from Kansas. __________________

The woman in Kansas is Karen..
And by the end of the show Dorothy knew Jane was her real birth mother Umm I'm pretty sure Karen protected Dorothy cuz Jane asked her too.  Yep__________________

I think she did live. Did we see her in the last ep when Dorothy returned to Kansas? I can't remember.
But it was nice to see Jane, Karen, and Frank's back story before Oz. Or at least some of it. __________________
