Wednesday, September 30, in Seville, Spain
The port was actually Cadiz, Spain but our tour took us to Seville. I kept an eye out to look for a barber (like the opera, <i>The Barber of Seville</i>) to take a picture but I didn't see one.

In Seville is the third largest Cathedral in Christendom. The Gothic style cathedral was completed in 1507 and took over a century to build. It is also known as Catedral de Santa Mar�*a de la Sede (Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See). Next to the cathedral is The Giralda Tower.

The Cathedral of Seville is in Plaza Virgen de los Reyes. Some pics in the Plaza.

Inside the Cathedral. IT IS HUGE! So, so high and some much decoration. I took some video that is not uploaded to share, but even that would not do it justice.

Alcázar of Seville is a royal palace in Seville, and originally was a Moorish fort. Subsequent monarchs have added their own additions to the Alcázar. The upper levels of the Alcázar are still used by the royal family as the official Seville residence and are administered by the Patrimonio Nacional.

I love this picture of a doorway I took inside the Alcázar. I was patient and waited for people to move out of the way and then snapped! And what I didn't realize at the time was I got a bird flying!

Pictures inside the beautiful Alcázar

On the way back to the bus we walked through The Santa Cruz Quarter, the old Jewish area of the city. Aritsan's shops and quaint cafes occupy whitewashed houses crowded along alleys and squares. My dad took this photo and I love the way it came out

Beautiful photos again! Both the Cathedral and the Alcázar. Especially the Cathedral is stunning, inside and out.

I love that there are so many old buildings all over Europe, so much history everywhere.
