I agree Sienna was amazing in her portrayal of Edie she did deserve an award
It was so good. Has she been in any movies recently?
I don't know. I haven't seen her in anything recently.
She's been very elusive lately.
So I re-watched Factory Girl. I was crying half the time. Edie really was special. |
she was a special person she just didn't see it herself and people like Andy didn't help
No he wasn't help at all. The Factory ruined her. I remember the first scene when she and Sid are walking out of her college and she's so happy and he takes a picture of her. At the end when he came and rescued her from those guys and took her into the cab. He showed her the picture he'd taken at the college and she was smiling in it and he asked her, "Do you remember that girl?" And she was crying and said "No." I was bawling at that point. Sooo sad! :bawl:
I love that first scene she was so happy and a free spirit and loved her art
But as soon as she gets introduced to Andy and the Factory lot it's where things just got so bad for her they thrust her into the limelight, introduced her to drugs and when they were finished with her they cast her aside turning their backs on her :bawl: |
They used people. It was disgusting. And Andy's films. That is NOT ART. That's porn. He was a pretentious scum-bag. One of his old friends, this scriptwriter named valerie shot him in 1968 when he stole one of her scripts. Too bad he didn't die then. A-hole.
I totally agree with everything you said!
And rightly so. That guy had some severe psychological problems that he should've taken care of. He spent all those years going to confessional, he should've spent them going to see a therapist. He was effed up in the head.
He was messed up in the head he definitely needed therapy rather than going to confession
I'll never understand why he was so famous.
I will never understand either it wasn't real art Edie was so much more talented she just never got to show the world.
She was so much more talented than him. He wasn't and will never be an artist to me. He's an interesting, albeit mentally disturbed historical figure. But he is not an artist. Sorry to all those that think so.
I agree for me I don't see him as an artist. Edie was so much more talented but she never really got to be that person with Andy and the Factory gang they just wanted her to be the new IT girl!
She forgot who she was. She was so caught up in being adored by people that she let go of her roots. She was so innocent and I loved that about her. She had gone through so much and she was still optimistic. And then she went to the factory and became this jaded person and it was so sad to watch her let go of that sweet, pure side of her. :(
It was so sad to watch her loose that innocence and sweetness and become jaded in the Factory  :(
:bawl: So depressing.
I know it is so depressing! :bawl:
We need to pick a happier film for the next rewatch  |
So what do you have in mind? Hayden hasn't done much lighthearted stuff. LMAO.
I know one that isn't AS depressing
Hahahahahaha! Alright, let's hear it.
How about Jumper?
Okay. :D Jumper it is. :)
Brilliant shall we start that rewatch on Saturday?
