Hey guys, I thought I'd finally start our The Decameron thread, with all the behind the scenes pics and stuff, I am just getting so anxious for this movie! Who else wants to see it? And I know lots of you aren't Mischa fans, but I happen to be a huge Mischanite, so I can't wait to see them work together.

Yep I'm a non-Mischanite but I love hayden and I'm excited that he's doing another movie I can't wait to see it. He can act so good so he needs to keep the movies rolling.

i love Hayden, and I don't have this deep hatered of Mischa that I used to have, i may even like her a little bit. but i'm not looking forward to this movie. Lorenzo and Pampinea (sp?) weren't lovers in the book. Anyway, i will see it anyway since I'll see Hayden in anything, who knows maybe i'll be able to ignore all the changes in the movie and just enjoy it.

Awww, thanks, Kara. Yeah, I'm a huge Mischa fan, one of the few, lol. And sure, anytime, I thought it was time for one, lol.

I wonder where I could find the book...I kinda wanna read it now...so Lorenzo and Pampinea weren't romanticly involved in the book, but apparently are in the movie...hmmm, I wonder why they changed that.

i haven't finish reading the book but from what i read (the book itself) and from the research i did, no they weren't lovers. Lorenzo were in the stories one of the 10 storytellers told, and Pampinea (sp?) was one of the storytellers, the oldest, most respected of the storytellers.

I found the book at the local Borders in the Medival History section. This book have became a history book instead of just another fictional story. That's how important it was, and i don't like this whole changing the story thing.

Argh, I *hate* it when Hollywood changes ancient literature. Bugs me.

But all that is outweighed by my love for Hayden and Mischa - they look absolutely fantastic together, and so cute! Can't wait for this movie.

i heard that Pampinea and Lorenzo only shared one kiss in the movie. Don't know if it's true though.

What exactly IS The Decameron? I've never heard of the book or teh story. Is it a true story someone was making it sound real saying it can be found in the Medival History section. Is it like King Artur where some say its a true story where others say its a myth. I love history so I'm curious.

it's a fictional story written by Giovanni Boccaccio , but it does describe the Plague that happened in the forteenth-century, the same time period when Giovanni Boccoccio lived. It's regarded as a history book even though it's not really.

Is it just me or do Mischa and Hayden come off as brother and sisterish.

Their both tall, same color hair, and same blue eyes and same big smile. Its a bit weird to me.

not a micha fan, but since I have only seen her on the OC I will wait until The Decameron to fully judge....so excited for a new Hayden movie!!!

I would practically see anything he is in! even if lee lee sobieski is in it (I HATE HATE HATE her!!)

Yeah I know. But that's the thing everyone's acting like she's some huge celebrity who should go to the Oscars...she's on a teen soap opera and ONLY that. Wait to see how she's acts in a movie to dub her a huge celebrity. If you don't watch the OC you really don't know who she is. I hear about it from friends who love it so that's how I know who she is. and all the hype I hear and read.
