"That was the biggest challenge," Hayden tells ET about performing his unique task. "To get myself into some Zen-like space where I could just be still for an hour-and-a-half on end ... I sing songs in my head, recount old memories, that sort of thing."

"You see, for the other actors, we think Hayden got the cushy job," interjects Terrence, "because half the movie he gets to sleep on the table. You would love to go to work and just lay there with your eyes closed."

Steph, yeah, Lena Olin is great. She plays Hayden's mother in the movie. How cool.

According to imdb.com Sigourney Weaver isn't a part of the cast anymore. Maybe they replaced her with Lena? Well, I think Lena looks more like Hayden than Sigourney anyway.

According to this site, Awake will be released on August 25th but it says "All dates subject to change" so no need to take it too seriously.

After receiving my headshot and carefully crafted cover letter, the casting director sent me downtown to meet with the assistant director of Awake - who quickly introduced me to the kind ladies in charge of make-up and costume. They looked me up and down. Like compulsive gamblers at the dog track. Sized me up and questioned me on my height. Then, one of the ladies retreated to a large collection of file folders, from which she produced a Xeroxed copy of a picture - of Hayden's bare chest. At this point, I began to wondering if I should have done some push-ups. You know: in case they asked me to take my shirt off. In case my bare chest was to be photographed, Xeroxed, and filed away for later comparison. Plus, Hayden's a pretty buff guy (as I now know). Made me feel a little out of shape.

After one measurement, my hopes of playing Hayden's various close-up body parts (not that one) were dashed. "He's too narrow." She meant my chest; my not-naked chest. And, like a guy, I suddenly felt a little inadequate. But I smiled; said thank you; filled out my SAG voucher so that I could get paid.

Then, a funny thing happened: the assistant director asked me if I had a headshot that I could leave with him. I don't know if that is something that he says to all the rejected body-doubles, just to make them feel better, but it made me feel a little better. I thought: Damn straight. I am more than a chest! I am also a head.

I don't get it. If Hayden has a good body and has shown off his chest before (RotS

) why does he need a body double? Hayden just take off your shirt!!!!!

Yeah, Lena sure has that devilish side to her.

I'm sure she'll be awesome in the movie.

Heh, yeah I don't understand why he needs a body double either. Cos he sure has a great chest and the whole package. Maybe it's for a love scene? Some actors feel uncomfortable being naked in front of the camera. But then again, Hayden has said he's up for a love scene.

But yeah, Hayden take that shirt off, NOW!
