Well, taking the slim chance that my fellow Israelies visit this board, I thought I'd start a thread for Kochav Noolad, since it's starting again tonight.

To be honest, I'm not really looking to the reality TV, new-star choosing part of this show - I didn't follow it last time, either. What I'm looking for is old, lovely songs coming back, becmoing the hits they should be, even if most people won't remember the original artists.

Why slim chance? There are tons of Israeli AI fans

However, I don't watch Kochav Nolad, it's AI's younger more hidious sister. Dumb show

I always wanted to audition for AI, but can't even think of auditioning for Kochav Nolad because I absolutely can't stand that show. It's just a really bad rip-off of AI.
Remember Simon saying on the show that it shouldn't be "A popularity contest"? well, that's exactly what Kochav Nolad is.

OK so I watched some of this season

and even though there are probably no Israelis in this board, this was finale night and Israel won

I thought he was great, I liked him the most for the entire season and just didn't want to see Libby win, he was WAY over-pimped.
In a way, that season really reminded me of AI7 with Israel being David A. and Libby being David C., both adorable and loved by the girls and MAJORLY pimped by the judges, but Archie won the Israeli heart
