Well I ended up taking a sick day, was coughing all night and my fever hasn't broke yet so I thought an extra day of "rest" would probably be better. I'll probably end up trying to catch up more on work though xD

Taking a sick day sounds like a good decision in that situation. I do hope you got to rest some too though, and didn't end up working all day.

I'll be working long hours this week too so I got home only a couple of hours ago. I've been trying to post a little but is being charmingly slow again so I think I'll just give up and get some chill time before going to sleep.

Well I slept halfway through the day so obviously it was the right call I was so tired all day. Went back to work today but am still under the weather.

Yeah it comes and goes. Well, I'm not planning to do it anymore, I just had to get some hours in. I'm gonna chill this weekend.

Man, I was suppose to return some stuff I had bought online and I thought I had time until today (Friday) but there's no return button visible on the site anymore. This is the 3rd time this happens to me. I've managed to make a return once before by calling them because I had missed the return date only by a couple of days. Their customer service is not open on weekends so I'll call them on Monday, hopefully I can still make the return!

Aw, flu can be pretty persistent and it can take a long time to get totally over it.

I did, thanks. It's been a chill weekend. And I'll call them first thing in the morning, hopefully the actual return date wasn't too long ago and it works out.

Right now I'm waiting for my team's match to start, the opponent is pretty tough and we're missing so many players, I'm dreading the worst. xD So, depending on what happens I may not get much sleep tonight which is bad because I need to get up early to make that phone call. xD

Yeah, I called them on Monday (the 18th). Apparently the last return date had been the 12th and not the 15th (Friday) like I thought. I don't know if it had made a difference if I had sent a message on Friday when I was "only" 3 days late. Tbh, the person on the phone sounded a bit newbie-ish and said "the system doesn't allow" a return after the return date, although I have been able to do it before when I was told that if the return date is missed only by a couple of days they can be lenient. But yeah, I wanted to return 3 pairs of shoes and I couldn't. I can maybe use 2 pairs, but I'll have to try to sell at least that one pair to avoid financial loss.

Well, that game on Sunday went well but they lost a midweek game on Wednesday which, if not cost them the league, at least made it very hard for themselves to win it since the lead our worst enemy has is quite substantial already. xD They just love to make me suffer.

And about the application as I mentioned, I did get an invitation to a group interview (after being really paranoid that I woudn't xD), which was on Wednesday. It was the first group interview I've ever been to but it went well (all the other 9 participants named me as the person who did best on it ) so I got an individual interview on Thursday. I thought it went well too but we'll find out next week. I've been disappointed about this position so many times before (a specialist in the same organization I already work in) so I'm not getting my hopes up. I just hope they'll let me know as soon as possible next week because I'm really tired of feeling paranoid about it. xD
