Thanks for the review, I love how they described his transition "from Idol winner, to singer-songwriter, to a storyteller." Amd it's always interesting to hear them talk about the creating process, really interesting that he experimented new things in all aspect of it.

You can definitely feel the growth in his process, his song-writing, the way he sings the songs and performs them live with each album.

He does have a very nice phrasing and delivery in general, I've definitely noticed that.

Yeah exactly, when an artist is all over the place with their music style (when there's no seen endpoint for that), fans can't connect to them.

That's so well said, interpretation is definitely one of his strong suits.

The Breakdown definitely grew on me, I liked it since the start but it wasn't a "favourite". Hearing it live though and hearing him talk about it made me enjoy listening to it more.

And that solidifies the part you mentioned about him saying that songs evolve when he sings them live. You get to actually hear the songs and lyrics more when it's more personal.

So true. Plus often the arrangement and/or instrumentation may change in the live performance which can sell the song better.

Yeah they met on the set of his first music video after AI, got engaged a year later and married in 2012. And it's already been 6 years now, love both their tweets

Lee did a StageIt show a couple of days ago, and he mentioned singing a new song, will have to check if someone's posted it on YT!
