Hope it won't take too long now. I bet you're dying to hear it.

You have no idea

Interesting tidbit (Well for those who are interested XD):

The beautiful track “Lullaby” written by Lee DeWyze and recorded by Ronan Keating on his album Fires can be heard on a snippet at Amazon UK.

“Lullaby” is a soothing ballad written by DeWyze and sounds like a natural track both lyrically and musically for Ronan Keating who is known for heart rendering lyrical tunes.
I love Ronan Keating! I got excited when I read about this. It'll be interesting to hear the finished product once his album is out.

Cereal Killer 09-02-2012 05:08 AM

Aw, I used to listen to Boyzone and Ronan's solo stuff a bit. That's great Lee wrote a song and it's now being released by Ronan! Song-writing is a good business.

dancing in the rain 09-04-2012 01:00 AM

Yeah I like that this will give him more exposure as well, his song-writing is beautiful

Cereal Killer 09-08-2012 06:03 PM

Exposure is always good.

dancing in the rain 09-10-2012 02:45 PM

Yeah exactly. And it's a beautiful song, it'll be interesting to see how the final version for Ronan will sound like.

Cereal Killer 09-16-2012 09:17 PM

It's always interesting to hear different people's takes on the same song. Ronan is a great vocalist too so it should be good.

dancing in the rain 09-17-2012 12:13 PM

Yeah exactly  The album was out early September, I'm trying to find a good version of the song/album. If I find a good one on YouTube I'll post it here.

Cereal Killer 09-17-2012 01:03 PM

Sounds like a plan. :D

dancing in the rain 09-18-2012 03:07 PM

In the meantime, here are the lyrics :sigh:

Quote:

Lullaby

Now you’ll lay me down to sleep
Pray the Lord your soul to keep
That your heart is safe with me
If I die before I wake
I'm sorry darlin' for every mistake I've ever made

I could sing you the most beautiful song you've ever heard
You could sing alone my hummingbird
But you don't need to sing
I don't need to play it'll be alright
I just want you to fall asleep tonight

This is a lullaby… lullaby, lullaby, lullaby
It’s just the way I say goodnight
It’ll be ok, it’ll be alright
This is your lullaby

[KIZ]
This is your lullaby, yeah
Lullaby, lullaby this is my hopes and dreams combined
Spoken to you hoping you sleep well tonight
So rest your precious head on your pillow
And let your thoughts run free
Now close your tired eyes and just dream
You couldn’t imagine all of life’s beautiful things
As your vision slowly fades and your thoughts kick in
So just imagine, imagine floating to a place that’s far away
And we could catch up another day, ay

I could sing you the most beautiful song you’ve ever heard
You could sing alone my hummingbird
But you don’t need to sing
I don’t need to play it’ll be alright
I just want you to fall asleep tonight

This is a lullaby… lullaby, lullaby, lullaby
It’s just the way I say goodnight
It’ll be ok, it’ll be alright
This is your lullaby

[KIZ]
Yeah, yeah
And when you told me you were scared
I was well aware that your heart was unprepared
So I said that I’d be there if I said maybe you’ll sleep
And you’ll lust in all your dreams
And never have to worry cause your heart is safe with me

I could sing you the most beautiful song you’ve ever heard
You could sing alone my hummingbird
But you don’t need to sing
I don’t need to play it’ll be alright
I just want you to fall
I just want you to fall
I just want you to fall asleep tonight

It’ll be ok, it’ll be alright
This is your lullaby

Cereal Killer 09-23-2012 06:53 AM

Pretty lyrics. :sigh:

So, I'm sure you've seen this already. Lee covering Creep by Radiohead:

Nice job, Lee! (This song seems to be a popular choice among the Idols when it comes to covering Radiohead. )

dancing in the rain 09-25-2012 04:09 AM

I actually haven't yet! This past week (even the weekend) has been crazy for me and other than the occasional posting, I haven't been able to check out much else online. I'll probably check it out tonight. And yeah I know, I noticed the trend

ETA: Okay watched it and it was great :sigh: I love when he hits the sweet spots in his voice  Another performance from earlier this month and it's an original song:

Cereal Killer 09-30-2012 09:24 PM

Glad you got to watch it. :D Thanks for the other video too! That's a good song. :)

dancing in the rain 10-03-2012 03:49 AM

Yeah, I love that he shares some of the stuff he's working on for the sake of the fans. He knows how impatient we are for his album, so he tries to help with providing things like that to tide us over

Cereal Killer 10-05-2012 10:58 PM

It's always great when artists do that. :D Waiting for new music can be torture. xD

dancing in the rain 10-06-2012 12:06 AM

Heh yep, especially when you either don't have a set date or it get postponed a couple of times XD

Cereal Killer 10-06-2012 12:52 AM

Those are the worst. :thud: They should just put out new music on a yearly basis. xD

dancing in the rain 10-07-2012 01:09 PM

Seriously, they have to know how impatient we'd be waiting more than that

Some info about some Lee tour dates and performances!
Tour Info 1 and 2

Lee DeWyze helped raise funding for the Playing for Change Organization.
More info about the organization here.

------------

Lee and Jonna Walsh on Hallmark’s show Home & Family!

Interview: Jonna says she happened to tune in to S9's finale and she actually cried when he won because he seemed really humble. Aww

And performance. Lee performed the song (Who Would Have Known) he wrote for Jonna and performed at their wedding. He also performed a song called Fight that was part of a fund raising he did a while ago.

Cereal Killer 10-07-2012 09:02 PM

I can't imagine them not knowing.

Wow, lots of stuff! That's great he'll be touring! And doing charity is always admirable.

Aw, that's sweet that Jonna saw him on AI already. :sigh: It's also very sweet that he wrote her a song for their wedding, I'll try to check out the video soon. Thanks for posting everything!

dancing in the rain 10-08-2012 04:25 PM

No problem. And yeah I love that she saw his winning moment then she was part of his first music video and then things went great from there :sigh:

So now we have a 3-month span of the release date  He said he's hoping to have it out by November/December or January at the latest heh. Better than nothing, at least we have a range.

But the tour is during the next couple of months and he'll be playing some stuff from the new album so that should tide us over. And the second Hallmark video had 2 songs that were for different events but that will be included on the new album so that's cool. Who Would Have Known was really gorgeous

Cereal Killer 10-08-2012 08:27 PM

Looks like it was destiny. :D

It's good to have an estimation at least. It makes it easier to know how much longer approximately you'll have to suffer. xD

Tour stuff is definitely something that will help with the waiting, especially if he plays his new songs. That'd be very nice of him. I'll check out the new song soon.

dancing in the rain 10-11-2012 05:04 AM

Yeah exactly .. So now I have two album to look forward to in pretty much the same month span, Lee's and Phillip's

Okay cool. And yeah, it'll definitely help with the wait. Lee has been awesome with, giving us something new every once in a while, whether it's a new cover or a random video or snippets of new songs, lyrics, etc So he's been considerate :D

Cereal Killer 10-14-2012 02:17 AM

Well, you'll be double rewarded after all the waiting.

Covers are great too if there are no new songs yet. I mean, we all know how good at covers all these AIers are.

dancing in the rain 10-14-2012 02:32 PM

Yeah it's been crazy with the covers lately, not that I'm complaining, all the Idols doing covers have been doing awesome with them :sigh:

Cereal Killer 10-14-2012 02:35 PM

I agree! We've gotten some pretty amazing versions lately.
