 Yeah it’s such a good song! He writes the most intriguing lyrics and I still adore his voice.  It’s probably one of the darkest songs he’s written but very clever. Here’s the lyric video: Very cool! Today is his birthday! Happy birthday David!   __________________

So, I've been listening to Analog Heart a lot lately. The whole album is brilliantly written. I don't think that there's a song on it that I don't like. And to think that he wrote all this before Idol. My two favorites are tied between Seachlights & Makeover. ETA: I freaking adore The Truth as well!
The line: You made me fall forever, with no end in sight.  It gets me every time & You are for contradiction's sake everything I remember that I swore I'd forget. No one can deny that he's one hell of a songwriter!!  Last edited by Paper Hearts; 03-20-2019 at 11:16 AM |

 Oh, Analog Heart will always be perfect! And you just named 2 of my top 3 songs from it, Searchlights and Makeover (the third one is Silver). And those are also my favorite lines, soooooo good! Searchlights has always been my number one song from AH and one of the top David songs in general. So, great choice!  The Truth is a big fan favorite and it is a brilliant song. The lyrics are amazing for sure. He truly is an immensely talented songwriter. __________________
