| ^^^ Ha, no way. I guess you could call it unique because they brought in instruments. But take each one and put them in a past season and they would have all dropped like flies. David A would have been dropped because Sanjaya was the token "cute" kid the little girls voted for, Jason would have been dropped for Blake being the unique guy the teen/young adult girls vote for, etc Jason would have probably not even broke the top 12. Carly, maybe voice wise. Like yahoo or MSN said she's like Kimberly Locke....great voice, blah personality Syesha would have been dropped LONG ago with Fantasia, Latoya London, JHud, Lakisha, Melinda, Jordin, hell even Haley Skanknato. Brooke wouldn't have even made the top 12. Maybe 24 but not 12. Michael John's would have probably stayed around. David Cook......eh I think Bo, Constine(so?) and Chris Daughtry would have been him. David Cook is by far the most smug rocker ever on the show. I don't think I've seen anyone as smug as him in all the seasons...at least right off the top of my head anyone else?I mean I'd rather see someone act fake like "oh REALLY, you like me *smiles big* thankyou" circa Melinda and David A. He isn't at all smug but your free to think he is all you like Chris Daughtry came off as arrogant to me (and overrated). As did Constantine, Blake (to a degree), Katharine, Syesha and someone else who I won't mention in fear for my safety But that's my perception.  And it doesn't mean they actually are of-course Neither of our perceptions are definitive facts about these people that we do not know personally.
