Yeah, and I just remembered they actually introduced a new rule (which obviously hasn't been needed before xD) that the judges pick who gets eliminated from the bottom 2 pairs. I'm sure this was because of the Bobby fiasco last season. Although when two frontrunners end up in the bottom 2 (like last week), it's still not that helpful.

Yeah at least they had a reason that makes sense this time around xD

Yeah I definitely don't blame them And it is, although they do it every week, not just once per season like Idol's version.

Oh definitely, her whole career is amazing. Though it will be hard to follow her (or Kelly’s) footsteps these days.

Their careers are huge And as we say for all our favourites, it doesn't have to be on that huge scale, but if they are able to do what they love and are passionate about for a living and gain more fans along the way, that's what it's about.

He definitely seems the type Super Country guys are definitely fan-favourites. The guy at 1:04-1:05 seems to be someone Idol is promoting, kind of like they did with Alejandro Aranda last season.

And he has a touching backstory so that will probably help with that. The singer I mentioned actually has a Phillip Phillips vibe with his singing, he's definitely interesting.

So far of the ones I have seen (still halfway through 3 of 5 audition episode) about 6 of the ones on the bus made it. Although one definitely didn't and she was pretty upset about it so not sure how she ended up in that video xD

What would we do without touching backstories? Oh, he does sound interesting. That type of contentants traditionally appeal to the Idol audience.

That’s pretty funny they used someone who didn’t make it in the commercial (although of course it sucks for her). So, the vid is rather spoilery. xD

The show apparently cannot survive without them And in the past couple of seasons, it's completely blatant, like "Look here the story we have for this guy/girl!" If they can sing and perform really well, it works, but pushing okay people just because of their story is always a bit much.

Anyway, yeah it is spoilery, seems they went on the route of "see what talent we have this season" as opposed to just knowing everyone's results at the auditions.

Apparently not. xD Damn, they’re really not trying to hide they manipulativeness. I’m sure some people fall for the sob stories but I’m sure the majority cares about the talent and charisma and can and will actually support a contestant just because he/she is just that good.

I guess that’s okay, at least people can look forward to multiple performances from the contestants they may have liked in the promo video.

Nope, it is completely out in the open at this point xD But yeah exactly, the story alone might get them through the auditions (and maybe Hollywood) but beyond that, their talent and stage presence is what keeps them in.
