Adam mentoring? Wow. I wonder what the theme is. Could be rock but could be musicals, because he's got a Broadway background or something, right?

I love Adam but I think it's kinda lame that he's mentoring... I mean, he's still nobody on music

I don't think that's the point though, they want a mentor who has the perspective of a constestant, I think it's pretty valid considering how well he did on his season (and the fact that he's outselling the actual winner)...of course it would make more sense to have an ex-constestant that's been around for longer but they probably want to feed off his current popularity I'm excited

He's a nobody, Kris is a nobody... if they should call someone from American Idol, we have Carrie and Kelly who are way more sucessful and relevant in the music world...

Crystal: For the first time I didn't love her.. I mean, she was good, but I tought there was something missing..

Andrew: Jeez, can you be a little less boring please? I was remembering Kat McPhee rocking that song in season 5.. How I miss the old seasons..

Tim: Gorgeous!

Lee: I lost his performance, thanks to my internet..

Aaron: He wasn't boring, that's something new... but I still don't like him..

Siobhan: I love the song she sang, and hated the changes she made!

Michael: I didn't know the song... it seems to be a gorgeous song.. great vocals, but I want him out...

Katie: It was an old song and she made even older... Go home girl...

Casey: Great vocals, but I wasn't crazy about the song choice... I hope he stays!

Adam was probably a better mentor than past mentors. lol

Tim was my favourite of the night. I was paying much attention but he really got me to listen to him.

It wasn't a very memorable night. I hope Andrew goes home. He's too cheesy for me.

American Idol really needs to find better and original themes for each week- lets see we already did Beatles like twice, no make that like three times now, and Im pretty sure we did Elvis already. This is just getting too repetitive. Im sure there are plenty of other idols we can sing songs of!

As for the performances, only ones I enjoyed were Tim, lee and Siobhan.

Judges are a broken record as usual, and glad how Siobhan stuck up for herself. I too would be frustated if judges kept telling me one thing than another.

It was a fairly good night. Which always feel weird to say this year. XD

Crystal, Lee, Tim, and Mike were my favorites tonight.

I've liked Andrew, but even I'm starting to get bored with him. I have a feeling he might not make it.

I WISH Katie would go home. How anyone can point out that Mike is boring when Katie is on the stage boggles my mind. Clearly she's so boring you have just forgotten about her.

I told my mom Tim's big eyed smiley face is creepy and she got all pissy at me She's such a cougar in denial

Lee has really opened up from what he used to be and Kara needs to STFU~

I agreed with what Simon said about Casey. It was a good vocal, but he needs to do something snazzy for me.

Gotta say, I kinda agree... not in a bad 'let's dis Adam' way, but in a logical 'except for Simon and Randy pretty much everyone on this show is a nobody in the music business'.
And yes, I'd definitely agree that Kris as well is a nobody in the music business, relatively speaking. Maybe it was just their way of planting in our minds that Adam is the next Elvis
Oh, season 9.
I say they cancel it and show reruns of season 7 instead.

I don't think you have to be some big name in the music business to help those contestants. Maybe yeah, Carrie or Kelly would come to mind first because they've been around for a long time and they've had great success. Maybe Cook would come to mind before Adam too, because he's actually the one who did his thing and ended up winning and since then it's all about doing what Cook did.
But Adam is not a bad choice at all. He has bene there, he has some experience and he can help. Some mentors go there only to sell their albums and they don't even give good advices. I think Adam did a good enough job. Could have been Kris too. Maybe both. lol

Andrew, Aaron, Mike and Katie. I think two of these will be out today.

I don't hate their choice of mentor... if they brought Miley they might as well bring Adam and anyone else they want. But I do think it's a bit.. pretentious bringing him [and Miley!], in Elvis week no less.

Despite hating Miley() I actually tought she did a great job... Cant say the same about Adam, but he was definitely better than Usher! Usher did anything in my eyes..

About the theme... it sucks... we already had that theme in season 5, and despite some awesome performances there, these contestants are not amazing as the contestants from season 5! Idol needs new ideas!
