Hannibal and Will grow closer after Will shows his willingness to go to dark places. The BAU team investigate the montage made of Randal Tier and his exoskeleton. Hannibal gives Margot advice about her concerns over her brother Mason's violent nature. Her fear increases when Mason shows her how he's trained pigs to eat human flesh. Will grants Freddie Lounds an interview for her book and finds out she's checking out Will's allegations of Hannibal's possible guilt.

none of the female characters appear much this season, Alana is the leading lady and she gets like 3 scenes per ep, and sometimes she doesn't appear

I don't mind the lack of Alana, though.

But to think they (Alana and Freddie) aren't even female characters originally makes me wonder how things would've gone. Not even Prison Break had this many male characters.

As much as I like Alana I agree, the less she appears the better, every time she appears her plot gets worse

I think her character will only become interesting once she finds out the truth. She can either break down or do a complete 180* and turn out to be really complex and badass.
