| Thanks Jen, I have to agree with you. ![]() I started watching Roswell in May 2002,former I hadn't even been aware of its existence at all.It was its second rerun on german TV(it took some time until the show came across Europe ) but in return I kept watching it regularly at once.It didn't take much time until I became aware of my obsession. The leading facter why I became addicted to Roswell wasn't a special actor or anything related,it was simply the entire concept itself. I fell in love with how the story is structured and soon even more with the characters,no matter whom.![]() As mentioned before, I fell in love with Roswell relatively late, about at the moment as season 3 was being shot. So there was nothing to support anymore being clear that parts of the cast don't want to sign for a fourth season anyway. __________________ First The Grass Then The Leaves At Last Here Comes The Snow Ain't Much To Rake Anyway In The Fall... - The Wind That Blew My Heart Away | |||

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I started watching Roswell from the Pilot back I think in early 2000 when it was on air here in Australia. I remeber it was up against Ally McBeal and it was a big decision what to watch . But after seeing the Pilot there was no going back Sadly after 3 eps, the network pulled Roswell and moved it to the early hours of Saturday morning. I remeber staying up watching and taping it with the volume on low so I didn't wake the house up I've always shipped Max and Liz, as when I saw the final scene of the Pilot when Max reached for Liz's hair, that was it for me, I wanted them together. ![]() | |||

| I kept seeing the promos for this show named Roswell and I said it looked very interesting. Then when I bought the September '99 Fall Preview TV Guide, I saw the promo for Roswell with Jason and Shiri standing together and holding hands. I still have that promo by the way. So, I started watching Roswell on October 6, 1999 and was hooked instantly. The chemistry between Jason and Shiri was amazing and I haven't seen chemistry like that since watching my other favorite show Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Jason and Shiri playing the characters of Max and Liz became my second favorite couple to Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher playing Clark Kent and Lois Lane. From Max healing Liz, to his statement "It was you," to his reversing the connection and seeing into each other's soul, and from Max removing Liz's hair thing in The Pilot, made me know that I would continue to watch Roswell every week. Roswell was always about "an alien boy who was in love with a human girl that he risked his life to save her," and to me that's all it will ever be about. No amount of excuses or justifications from some about destroying the characters of Max and Liz that lead to the destruction of Roswell will ever suit me. __________________

| I just started to watch Roswell in March when I decided to rent the Season One DVDs from NetFlix. I had heard so many great things about the show from other online friends that I thought I should give it a try. I really liked it after the Pilot and I kept watching my DVDs but I think it was after watching 285 South when I truly became addicted. To me the chemistry between Brendan and Majandra was just so amazing and I loved the interaction they had between their characters in the episode. From that point on Michael and Maria became my newest ship and I couldn't get enough of them. I made it through the whole first season in less then a week and after that I did everything I could to get my hands on season 2 and 3 episodes. I haven't seen everything yet but I am getting there! | Way back in Oct 6 1999 (I was only 12 at the time) First it was the promos, I keep telling my mother "oh wow that show looks so cool" I have to watch. I can still remeber the promos. Soon after The Pilot was on TV and from then on I watched every week, but I did not start taping untill s2 roswell X'Mas carol(but I do have S1&S2 the orginal run on the WB on tape). one of my fav Roswell Obsession moment to tell is When I was on my 8th grade trip to D.C Roswell was showing that day (Off The Menu) So I brought along my little Tv watched it on the bus, while my mum taped it at home. Also I will for ever be a Dreamer ![]() | |||

| I had watched very sporadically the first season but I didn't really become addicted until that summer. I was watching another show on NBC-the incredibly underrated Mysterious Ways- and I noticed that Roswell re-runs were on after it. For some reason,it clicked this time. It's hard to say what specifically drew me to the show-I guess,it was the overall theme really. I didn't actually become active in Roswell fandom until Season 3 but ,once I did, I did whatever I could help out and continue to stand ready to do so. Best wishes, Scott | |||

| Good topic!! I remember during the summer of 99, they'd always show previews for a show called 'Roswell' and as soon as I heard the promo that said "I'm Liz Parker and five days ago I died..." I immediatly looked up from what I was doin and watched the promo. I was like "Wow.. thats interesting! I'm gonna have to watch that!" Well... as fall wore on, I was like "Well.. I musta missed the show, I haven't seen it on".. ya know, stuff like that. I was at home one nite, watching TV with my mom and we'd just got done watching 'Buffy' and then I heard "And now.. the series premiere of Roswell".. and I freaked out! I even remember that I was laying on my stomach on the livingroom floor painting my fingernails when the announcer said that. I immediatly sat up, forgot all about doing my nails and me and my mom sat and watched Roswell. Ever since October 6th, 1999.. I've been addicted to Roswell. I think it was the over-all theme of the show that got me hooked.. not to mention the amazing looking men that consisted of the cast!! I was a dreamer from the beginning, and I've even got my husband to start watching it now! Hes addicted, and I was actually just watching Roswell tonite, and some of my husbands army buddies came over... they started arguing about who was gonna borrow my S1 DVD's first.. I got them hooked as well! *lol* __________________ *SarahMarie<3'sMichaelBoston* -Dreamer-Groupie-YOR-DirtyBird-JB Obsessie- | |||

| Sarah Marie...very nice sentiment...GMTA... ![]() here's something I wrote a while back... On October 6, 1999 I tuned in to check out a new Series...Roswell - based on the Melinda Metz paperback for Teeny-Boppers...or so I thought. What I found was not what I expected, something I was not prepared for: not just another Angst-Ridden Teenage Melodrama - but a genuine love story which parallels Romeo and Juliet on many levels, with mystery, humor and science-fiction mixed in. What I found was not just a TV show... I found myself...I found friends from all corners of the globe...I found hope...I found a home! __________________ Edward: What did you expect? | Here in the UK it came out early 2000, I saw the advert and was hooked immediatley, all I can remember is Liz being shot in the adverts, can't remember what else happened - regret that now of course, stoopind memory of mine So I've been hooked ever since it was availiable to me, I was so happy when I got the internet about 1 year and a bit later, only to find out that I had missed out on so much, I still sent Tabasco sauce of course and I lurked for a further year before I posted on fan forum, it scared me ![]() __________________ ||aka prettylittleroswellian|| | |||

| My story can never compare to any of yours. Nosee I love your story. ![]() I was flipping though the channels and found this amazing show on. It was there I become a fan from then on out. for better or for worse. It was the first run showing of End of the World. I then followed the show from there on to the end and still to this day. I regret not finding it sooner than that. ![]() Carol ![]() __________________ #154 OBSESSED JB FAN Icon by mesmerise | |||
