She did save them a lot!
I think it would have been cool to see a DIFFERENT storyline that explored the effects of her mind warping, though, one that doesn't wind up in her becoming a villain. Like if she accidentally took it too far one time and, in an effort to save them all again, she accidentally destroyed somebody's mind. I mean, I know it was an accident with Alex, technically, but it was also part of the whole convoluted decoding the destiny book crap. Imagine if she'd mindwarped some innocent person, NOT Alex, and fried his brain, and had felt remorse about it, and if that had been a character arc for her in, like, season three or something. And Isabel and Michael could have tried to help her through it, because they've killed someone, too, but that really wasn't the same, because Whitaker was a Skin and Pierce was FBI, and it was self defense. But with Tess, it would have just been an innocent person, and that storyline could have humanized and developed her so much. |

^ I would've liked to see that. Why is it that writers so often miss the interesting storylines in favor of the messy/easy ones?

Not gonna lie, sometimes I'm tempted to write an alternate season three where Tess never killed Alex in season two and is still in the show.
